Horror narration YouTube video editor for hire
I’m Kevin Tabares, a long-form YouTube editor: you send the script and voiceover, I edit and find archive, licensed stock, maps and graphics. My closest work is Swaylemc’s Minecraft horror movies; I haven’t edited horror narration videos for a client yet, so start with a free 1-minute test. $55–$150 per finished video depending on complexity; up to $300 for some long or complex edits.
Free 1-minute test edit · From $55 per video · No contract · Revisions back within 24 h
9.8/10 average: 20 YT Jobs reviews from 19 client channels, 17 of them a perfect 10/10
Quick fit check: is this editor right for your channel?
- Video types
- Creepypastas, scary Reddit stories, paranormal and true scary encounters, urban legends, analog horror narration, multi-hour horror story compilations
- Editing style
- What I would do for horror narration: images that suggest instead of show, silence as part of the cut, layered sound design under a clear voice and text on screen for messages and posts. Close to the tension I keep in Swaylemc’s Minecraft horror movies
- Video length
- I edit from 8-minute videos to feature-length. Up to 20 minutes is the $150 package and up to 35 minutes the $300 one; longer videos get a custom quote. The Spy Show’s Eli Cohen episode runs 21 minutes and The Interpreter’s Tenerife documentary 13; Swaylemc’s full movies on my YT Jobs profile run 60 to 234 minutes.
- Upload schedule
- One video only, 1 video per week, 2–3 videos per week, 4 videos per month or several a week (Mud: about 3 a week). Start with one pilot: the free 1-minute test edit.
- Format
- Long-form YouTube videos are the core. YouTube Shorts cut from each long video on request.
- What you send me
- A finished script and narration (script and voiceover). I edit and find the visuals: archive footage, licensed stock, maps, timelines and graphics.
- Estimated price
- About $55 to $150 per finished video (up to $300 for some long or complex edits), depending on length, raw footage and effects. That fits the ‘$50+’ and ‘$100–$300 per video’ boxes for most long videos. Four videos a month: about $220 to $600 (more for long or complex videos); a $500 a month budget usually covers two to four long videos, depending on length. Exact quote within 24 hours, after a free 1-minute test edit.
- Channel size
- From under 1K subscribers (Mr. Marticson, 834) and small to mid-size channels (ThatNoob 4.9K, Crazz 10.7K, DakBlox 82.6K: 0 to 2M+ views in six months) up to 2M+ (Rex 2.29M, Puff 1.83M, Mud 1.26M)
- Turnaround
- First video in 1 to 5 days, then 1 to 2 days; revisions back within 24 hours
- Track record
- Proven YouTube results: 1,277 videos tracked on YT Jobs and 20 reviews from 19 client channels, 17 of them 10/10. Long-term work: Mud since March 2025, about 3 videos a week.
- Who you work with
- Kevin Tabares, directly. I review every video before it reaches you.

- English or Spanish
- Terms
- Paid in USD by PayPal or USDC. No contract, no minimum.

My experience with horror narration videos, plainly
- Proven: My YT Jobs profile tracks 1,277+ videos and 152M+ views, with 20 client reviews averaging 9.8/10. My narrated documentary work: I edit The Spy Show, a spy-history series by Vincent Meijer, and I delivered The Interpreter’s documentary on the Tenerife air disaster (78K subscribers).
- Not proven yet: Narrated horror stories and creepypastas for a client. My horror work is Minecraft horror movies and horror mods with gameplay; my narration work is documentaries.
- How to check it before paying: The free 1-minute test edit on your own script and voiceover, before you pay anything.
How I would edit your horror narration videos
No horror narration channel has sent me a voiceover yet, so read this as my plan, built on the tension I keep in Swaylemc’s horror movies and the narration work I do for The Spy Show.
Silence is part of the edit
In a horror story the pause before the reveal does more than any sound. I would leave the voice alone at the right moments and cut the music out before the key line, the kind of slow build a full horror movie also needs.
Images that suggest
Dark licensed stock, empty places, slow pushes and a grade that hides more than it shows. The viewer’s imagination does the rest; a clear monster shot usually breaks it.
Sound design in layers
A low ambience, a drone that grows with the tension and a single hit on the line that matters, all under a voice that stays clear on a phone.
Text on screen for posts and messages
When the story is a Reddit post, a chat or a diary, the key lines appear written in the right style, timed to the voice.
Chapters for long compilations
Multi-hour compilations need a title card per story and YouTube chapters, plus the same loudness from the first story to the last.
Closest real examples of my work
Three long videos I edited, chosen for the tension of the horror movies and the narration-led cut of the documentaries.
These are not horror narration videos, but the closest work I’ve edited. Views from the YouTube Data API on Oct 13, 2026; links open the video on YouTube.

FAQ
Have you edited horror narration videos before?
No, I haven’t edited horror narration videos for a client yet. My narrated documentary work is The Spy Show, a spy-history series by Vincent Meijer that I edit, and the documentary on the Tenerife air disaster I delivered for The Interpreter, both on my YT Jobs profile. The free 1-minute test edit on your own script and voiceover is how you judge my cut before paying anything.
Can you edit my horror narration videos?
Yes. Send your script, the voiceover and any images you already have, and I edit one minute for free. I find the rest of the visuals (archive, licensed stock, maps, timelines, text cards) and cut Shorts from the long video if you want them.
Do you work with AI voiceovers?
Yes, if that is your channel’s choice. YouTube’s rules on mass-produced and repetitive content matter more for narrated channels, so each video should add its own visuals and edit, not just a voice over the same background.
Can you edit two or three hour horror compilations?
Yes. Videos over 35 minutes get a custom quote. The longest videos in my portfolio are Swaylemc’s Minecraft movies, from one hour to almost four.
How much does a YouTube editor for horror narration videos cost?
My price is $55–$150 per finished video depending on complexity; up to $300 for some long or complex edits. By finished length: up to 10 minutes $55, up to 20 minutes $150, up to 35 minutes $300; longer videos get a custom quote. No contract and no minimum.
