Motivational and self-improvement video editor
I’m Kevin Tabares, a long-form YouTube editor: you send the script and voiceover, I edit and find archive, licensed stock, maps and graphics. My closest work is narrated documentaries driven by one voice; I haven’t edited motivational videos for a client yet, so start with a free 1-minute test. $55–$150 per finished video depending on complexity; up to $300 for some long or complex edits.
Free 1-minute test edit · From $55 per video · No contract · Revisions back within 24 h
9.8/10 average: 20 YT Jobs reviews from 19 client channels, 17 of them a perfect 10/10
Quick fit check: is this editor right for your channel?
- Video types
- Motivational speeches with stock footage, self-improvement and habits, discipline and productivity, stories of people who came back, mindset explained, long videos built on one idea
- Editing style
- What I would do in a motivational video: the key line written on screen while it is said, footage that shows the idea instead of decorating it, music that builds and stops at the right word, and silence used on purpose. With the method of my narrated documentaries
- Video length
- I edit from 8-minute videos to feature-length. Up to 20 minutes is the $150 package and up to 35 minutes the $300 one; longer videos get a custom quote. The Spy Show’s Eli Cohen episode runs 21 minutes and The Interpreter’s Tenerife documentary 13; Swaylemc’s full movies on my YT Jobs profile run 60 to 234 minutes.
- Upload schedule
- One video only, 1 video per week, 2–3 videos per week, 4 videos per month or several a week (Mud: about 3 a week). Start with one pilot: the free 1-minute test edit.
- Format
- Long-form YouTube videos are the core. YouTube Shorts cut from each long video on request.
- What you send me
- A finished script and narration (script and voiceover). I edit and find the visuals: archive footage, licensed stock, maps, timelines and graphics.
- Estimated price
- About $55 to $150 per finished video (up to $300 for some long or complex edits), depending on length, raw footage and effects. That fits the ‘$50+’ and ‘$100–$300 per video’ boxes for most long videos. Four videos a month: about $220 to $600 (more for long or complex videos); a $500 a month budget usually covers two to four long videos, depending on length. Exact quote within 24 hours, after a free 1-minute test edit.
- Channel size
- From under 1K subscribers (Mr. Marticson, 834) and small to mid-size channels (ThatNoob 4.9K, Crazz 10.7K, DakBlox 82.6K: 0 to 2M+ views in six months) up to 2M+ (Rex 2.29M, Puff 1.83M, Mud 1.26M)

- First video in 1 to 5 days, then 1 to 2 days; revisions back within 24 hours

How I would edit your motivational videos
I haven’t edited a motivational channel yet, so this is my plan for your voiceover, with what I already do on narrated documentaries.
The key line, written
The sentence the video is about appears on screen, word for word, at the moment it is said. One line per idea, never a wall of text.
Footage that shows the idea
Stock that illustrates what the voice says (a habit, a setback, a small win), not the same running man and sunrise in every video. I look for shots that match each line.
Music that builds and stops
The music rises with the argument and drops out before the line that matters most, so it lands in silence.
Something of its own in every video
YouTube is strict with mass-produced, repetitive content. Varying the visuals, the text cards and the structure from video to video, instead of repeating one template, is what protects your channel.
Speeches with care
Famous speeches belong to someone. If your channel builds on them, the decision is yours; I flag long stretches of someone else’s voice and recommend your own narration in front.
Closest real examples of my work
Two narrated documentaries I worked on, chosen because a motivational video stands on the same thing: a voice and a picture for every line.
These are not motivational videos, but the closest work I’ve edited. Views from the YouTube Data API on Oct 13, 2026; links open the video on YouTube.

- Eli Cohen: Mossad’s Greatest Spy | True Life Spy Stories · The Spy Show (832 subscribers) · 90 views · 21 min · Sep 24, 2026
Why it's close: A long narration carried by one voice, with a picture for every line: the same backbone as a motivational video. - The Tenerife Disaster: The Deadliest Crash in Aviation History · The Interpreter (78K subscribers) · 7,687 views · 13 min · Aug 13, 2026
Why it's close: A documentary on one event, told from three points of view, with quote cards, diagrams and slow moves on photos, to the channel’s own style guide.

FAQ
Have you edited motivational videos before?
No, I haven’t edited motivational videos for a client yet. My narrated documentary work is The Spy Show, a spy-history series by Vincent Meijer that I edit, and the documentary on the Tenerife air disaster I delivered for The Interpreter, both on my YT Jobs profile. The free 1-minute test edit on your own script and voiceover is how you judge my cut before paying anything.
Can you edit my motivational videos?
Yes. Send your script, the voiceover and any images you already have, and I edit one minute for free. I find the rest of the visuals (archive, licensed stock, maps, timelines, text cards) and cut Shorts from the long video if you want them.
Do you edit with an AI voice?
Yes, if that is your choice. With an AI voice, each video should look and sound different from the last, because of YouTube’s rules on mass-produced content.
Can you cut Shorts from each video?
Yes, if you ask: vertical Shorts built around the strongest line of each long video.
How much does a YouTube editor for motivational videos cost?
My price is $55–$150 per finished video depending on complexity; up to $300 for some long or complex edits. By finished length: up to 10 minutes $55, up to 20 minutes $150, up to 35 minutes $300; longer videos get a custom quote. No contract and no minimum.
