Philosophy and stoicism video editor for hire
I’m Kevin Tabares, a long-form YouTube editor: you send the script and voiceover, I edit and find archive, licensed stock, maps and graphics. My closest work is The Spy Show’s narrated documentaries; I haven’t edited philosophy videos for a client yet, so start with a free 1-minute test. $55–$150 per finished video depending on complexity; up to $300 for some long or complex edits.
Free 1-minute test edit · From $55 per video · No contract · Revisions back within 24 h
9.8/10 average: 20 YT Jobs reviews from 19 client channels, 17 of them a perfect 10/10
Quick fit check: is this editor right for your channel?
- Video types
- Stoicism and its authors, philosophers explained, one idea explained in depth, philosophy applied to daily life, schools of thought compared, the life and work of a thinker
- Editing style
- What I would do in a philosophy video: quotes written on screen with their author, classical paintings and sculptures, simple diagrams when an argument has steps, and a calm pace that leaves time to think. With the method of my narrated documentaries
- Video length
- I edit from 8-minute videos to feature-length. Up to 20 minutes is the $150 package and up to 35 minutes the $300 one; longer videos get a custom quote. The Spy Show’s Eli Cohen episode runs 21 minutes and The Interpreter’s Tenerife documentary 13; Swaylemc’s full movies on my YT Jobs profile run 60 to 234 minutes.
- Upload schedule
- One video only, 1 video per week, 2–3 videos per week, 4 videos per month or several a week (Mud: about 3 a week). Start with one pilot: the free 1-minute test edit.
- Format
- Long-form YouTube videos are the core. YouTube Shorts cut from each long video on request.
- What you send me
- A finished script and narration (script and voiceover). I edit and find the visuals: archive footage, licensed stock, maps, timelines and graphics.
- Estimated price
- About $55 to $150 per finished video (up to $300 for some long or complex edits), depending on length, raw footage and effects. That fits the ‘$50+’ and ‘$100–$300 per video’ boxes for most long videos. Four videos a month: about $220 to $600 (more for long or complex videos); a $500 a month budget usually covers two to four long videos, depending on length. Exact quote within 24 hours, after a free 1-minute test edit.
- Channel size
- From under 1K subscribers (Mr. Marticson, 834) and small to mid-size channels (ThatNoob 4.9K, Crazz 10.7K, DakBlox 82.6K: 0 to 2M+ views in six months) up to 2M+ (Rex 2.29M, Puff 1.83M, Mud 1.26M)
- Turnaround
- First video in 1 to 5 days, then 1 to 2 days; revisions back within 24 hours
- Track record
- Proven YouTube results: 1,277 videos tracked on YT Jobs and 20 reviews from 19 client channels, 17 of them 10/10. Long-term work: Mud since March 2025, about 3 videos a week.
- Who you work with
- Kevin Tabares, directly. I review every video before it reaches you.
- Channel language
- English or Spanish
- Terms
- Paid in USD by PayPal or USDC. No contract, no minimum.

- I haven’t edited philosophy videos for a client yet. Closest long-form work: “Eli Cohen: Mossad’s Greatest Spy | True Life Spy Stories” on The Spy Show (832 subscribers), 90 views; “The Tenerife Disaster: The Deadliest Crash in Aviation History” on The Interpreter (78K subscribers), 7.7K views
My experience with philosophy videos, plainly
- Proven: My YT Jobs profile tracks 1,277+ videos and 152M+ views, with 20 client reviews averaging 9.8/10. My narrated documentary work: I edit The Spy Show, a spy-history series by Vincent Meijer, and I delivered The Interpreter’s documentary on the Tenerife air disaster (78K subscribers).
- Not proven yet: Philosophy videos for a client. My narrated work so far is spy history and one air disaster.
- How to check it before paying: The free 1-minute test edit on your own script and voiceover, before you pay anything.
How I would edit your philosophy videos
I haven’t edited a philosophy channel yet, so this is my plan for your voiceover, with what I already do on narrated documentaries.
The quote, with its author
When the voice reads a philosopher, the quote appears on screen with the name, word for word. Viewers pause on these moments; they should be readable and correct.
Art from the period
Portraits, busts and paintings in the public domain, checked one by one, instead of the same statue in every video. When there is no portrait, the places and the books.
Arguments as diagrams
When an idea has steps (if this, then that), a simple diagram that builds with the voice makes it easier to follow than footage alone.
Time to think
A calmer pace than a history video, with pauses after the key idea and music that stays in the background.
Something of its own in every video
YouTube is strict with mass-produced, repetitive content. Varying the visuals, the text cards and the structure from video to video, instead of repeating one template, is what protects your channel.
Closest real examples of my work
Two narrated documentaries I worked on, chosen because a philosophy video stands on the same thing: a voice, a picture for every line and quotes on screen.
These are not philosophy videos, but the closest work I’ve edited. Views from the YouTube Data API on Oct 13, 2026; links open the video on YouTube.

- Eli Cohen: Mossad’s Greatest Spy | True Life Spy Stories · The Spy Show (832 subscribers) · 90 views · 21 min · Sep 24, 2026
Why it's close: A long narration carried by one voice, with a picture or a card for every line: the backbone of a philosophy video. - The Tenerife Disaster: The Deadliest Crash in Aviation History · The Interpreter (78K subscribers) · 7,687 views · 13 min · Aug 13, 2026
Why it's close: A documentary on one event, told from three points of view, with quote cards, diagrams and slow moves on photos, to the channel’s own style guide.

FAQ
Have you edited philosophy videos before?
No, I haven’t edited philosophy videos for a client yet. My narrated documentary work is The Spy Show, a spy-history series by Vincent Meijer that I edit, and the documentary on the Tenerife air disaster I delivered for The Interpreter, both on my YT Jobs profile. The free 1-minute test edit on your own script and voiceover is how you judge my cut before paying anything.
Can you edit my philosophy videos?
Yes. Send your script, the voiceover and any images you already have, and I edit one minute for free. I find the rest of the visuals (archive, licensed stock, maps, timelines, text cards) and cut Shorts from the long video if you want them.
Do you check the quotes?
I put them on screen exactly as your script has them, and I flag any line I can’t find attributed to that author, since misattributed quotes are common online.
Do you edit with an AI voice?
Yes, if that is your choice. With an AI voice, each video should look and sound different from the last, because of YouTube’s rules on mass-produced content.
How much does a YouTube editor for philosophy videos cost?
My price is $55–$150 per finished video depending on complexity; up to $300 for some long or complex edits. By finished length: up to 10 minutes $55, up to 20 minutes $150, up to 35 minutes $300; longer videos get a custom quote. No contract and no minimum.
