YouTube editor for Australian creators with pure async workflow
Bogotá-based long-form editing studio for Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane creators. 14-hour timezone difference (upload morning, edit ready evening). AUD invoicing. Zero real-time meetings, pure async Discord workflow. 24–72h turnaround on 10–30 minute edits.
Australian creators get woken up at 3am to take client calls with US agencies. Or they hire Australian editors and pay triple rates. Or they try to work with US freelancers who forget they exist. The timezone difference is so large (14 hours) that real-time collaboration seems impossible. But it's actually perfect for async work.
Async editing means: upload your raw footage before bed, wake up to a draft. Comment on Slack during breakfast, it's fixed by dinner. No calls, no waiting for someone's business hours, no "I'll get back to you tomorrow." Pure async workflow via Discord and Slack. We're a Bogotá-based studio that specializes in long-form YouTube retention. We've worked with creators from Sydney to Perth. We understand Australian audience expectations: laid-back, authentic, zero tolerance for over-produced nonsense. If you're an Australian creator tired of being deprioritized by overseas teams, this is your option.
Why the 14-hour difference is actually an advantage
Think about it: you wake up, upload footage at 9am AEST. By 6pm AEST (your evening), the edit is done. You review it over dinner. Comment on Slack at 8pm AEST. By 8am next morning (AEST), revisions are done. That's 24-hour turnaround without anyone staying up late. Compare that to emailing a US editor and waiting until their next business day. The timezone isn't a bug, it's a feature.
Australian creators always get deprioritized by overseas teams. You're in a different timezone, so you're "after-hours" for everyone. We flip the model: your morning is when we're working. Your uploads ship to YouTube on your schedule, the edit was ready yesterday. You're not waiting for anyone to wake up.
What you get
- Retention-first hook — first 15 seconds rewritten until your YouTube retention graph holds past 30 seconds. Australian audiences are smart. The hook has to earn respect fast.
- Australian pacing standards — 3–5 second average shot length, natural dialogue pacing, no try-hard cuts. Australian content is laid-back; we preserve that while optimizing for retention.
- Authentic audio design — dialogue sits at -6dB, ambient bed at -18dB, effects only when they land. You can watch on mute and still understand the video. No hearing-damage editing.
- Color grading for YouTube streaming — we grade for how YouTube's codec handles color, not Instagram. Your video looks professional and clear at all bitrates.
- Async Slack/Discord workflow — no real-time meetings. Upload → comment → revise → ship. All text-based, on your schedule.
- Retention analytics review (retainer only) — after each upload, we check your YouTube Studio graphs and document drop-off points. Next edit is tuned against that data.
- Guaranteed turnaround — 24–72h depending on length and complexity. You know exactly when the edit will be ready.
- Two revision rounds — major recutting and content tweaks included. Pick-ups and color adjustments unlimited.
Types of Australian content we work with
- Gaming (Minecraft, Roblox, Valorant, indie games) — Australian gaming creators are strong. Fast-paced, community-driven content. We edit for Australian audiences first.
- Tech and gadget reviews — Sydney and Melbourne have strong tech creator communities. We understand tech content pacing and audience expectations.
- Lifestyle and vlogs — Australian vlogging is understated, authentic, real-people editing. We preserve that voice.
- Comedy and commentary — Australian humor is subtle. We don't over-edit comedy. Let it breathe.
- Educational and how-to — if you're teaching something, we edit for clarity and engagement, not entertainment alone.

Australian editing FAQ
Do I have to take calls at 3am?
Absolutely not. Zero calls. Upload, Slack comment, Slack comment back, done. If something is genuinely urgent and needs voice discussion, we can schedule one at a reasonable hour for you (your evening/morning). But 99% of projects are pure async.
What if I need the edit done faster than 24 hours?
We can rush 12–18 hour turnaround, but it costs 50% extra and only works if you're on retainer (priority queue). Normal work is 48–72h, which is way better than waiting for an Australian editor's next business day or a US editor to wake up.
Do you invoice in AUD or USD?
Both. Default is AUD ($460/video). USD pricing available ($300/video) if you prefer, but we invoice in AUD to keep it simple for you. Wise makes the transfer frictionless either way.
What's the payment process?
Invoice emailed after first edit is approved. Payment NET 7 via Wise (fastest for AUD), PayPal, bank wire, or USDC. We don't charge until the edit is done and approved, so you see the work before paying.
Do you understand Australian audience behavior?
Yes. Australian YouTube audiences are 20–45 years old, skeptical of hype, value authenticity and humor. They watch gaming, tech, lifestyle, and commentary. We've edited for Australian creators and studied Australian retention data. Your audience gets expert treatment.
Can I do a trial?
Yes. First edit is a full trial. If retention doesn't improve by your metrics, you don't pay the second invoice. We're confident it will work.
Do you edit TikTok or YouTube Shorts?
No. Long-form YouTube only (10–30 minutes). Shorts and TikTok are a different optimization model and not our specialty.
