Biography YouTube video editor for hire
I’m Kevin Tabares, a long-form YouTube editor: you send the script and voiceover, I edit and find the visuals. My closest work is The Spy Show’s episodes built around one person, like the Eli Cohen one; I haven’t edited biographies for a biography channel yet, so start with a free 1-minute test. $55–$150 per finished video depending on complexity; up to $300 for some long or complex edits.
Free 1-minute test edit · From $55 per video · No contract · Revisions back within 24 h
9.8/10 average: 20 YT Jobs reviews from 19 client channels, 17 of them a perfect 10/10
Quick fit check: is this editor right for your channel?
- Video types
- Biographies of historical figures, athletes, artists, founders and criminals, rise and fall stories, “the life of” videos, one person’s story told in acts
- Editing style
- What I would do in a biography: the life in acts with a card for each stage, a timeline with the year and the age, quotes on screen and, when the photos of the person run out, their places and their documents. Like the Eli Cohen episode of The Spy Show, one person’s life from start to end
- Video length
- I edit from 8-minute videos to feature-length. Up to 20 minutes is the $150 package and up to 35 minutes the $300 one; longer videos get a custom quote. The Spy Show’s Eli Cohen episode runs 21 minutes and The Interpreter’s Tenerife documentary 13; Swaylemc’s full movies on my YT Jobs profile run 60 to 234 minutes.
- Upload schedule
- One video only, 1 video per week, 2–3 videos per week, 4 videos per month or several a week (Mud: about 3 a week). Start with one pilot: the free 1-minute test edit.
- Format
- Long-form YouTube videos are the core. YouTube Shorts cut from each long video on request.
- What you send me
- A finished script and narration (script and voiceover). I edit and find the visuals: archive footage, licensed stock, maps, timelines and graphics.
- Estimated price
- About $55 to $150 per finished video (up to $300 for some long or complex edits), depending on length, raw footage and effects. That fits the ‘$50+’ and ‘$100–$300 per video’ boxes for most long videos. Four videos a month: about $220 to $600 (more for long or complex videos); a $500 a month budget usually covers two to four long videos, depending on length. Exact quote within 24 hours, after a free 1-minute test edit.
- Channel size
- From under 1K subscribers (Mr. Marticson, 834) and small to mid-size channels (ThatNoob 4.9K, Crazz 10.7K, DakBlox 82.6K: 0 to 2M+ views in six months) up to 2M+ (Rex 2.29M, Puff 1.83M, Mud 1.26M)
- Turnaround
- First video in 1 to 5 days, then 1 to 2 days; revisions back within 24 hours
- Track record
- Proven YouTube results: 1,277 videos tracked on YT Jobs and 20 reviews from 19 client channels, 17 of them 10/10. Long-term work: Mud since March 2025, about 3 videos a week.
- Who you work with
- Kevin Tabares, directly. I review every video before it reaches you.
- Channel language
- English or Spanish
- Terms
- Paid in USD by PayPal or USDC. No contract, no minimum.
- Closest proof
- I haven’t edited biographies for a biography channel yet. Closest, episodes built around one person: “Eli Cohen: Mossad’s Greatest Spy | True Life Spy Stories” on The Spy Show (832 subscribers), 90 views; “The Tenerife Disaster: The Deadliest Crash in Aviation History” on The Interpreter (78K subscribers), 7.7K views
My experience with biographies, plainly
- Proven: My YT Jobs profile tracks 1,277+ videos and 152M+ views, with 20 client reviews averaging 9.8/10. My narrated documentary work: I edit The Spy Show, a spy-history series by Vincent Meijer, and I delivered The Interpreter’s documentary on the Tenerife air disaster (78K subscribers).
- Not proven yet: Biographies for a channel built on them: athletes, artists, living public figures with a lot of interview footage. The closest I have edited are spy-history episodes built around one person.
- How to check it before paying: The free 1-minute test edit on your own script and voiceover, before you pay anything.
How I would edit your biographies
I haven’t edited for a biography channel yet, but I have edited episodes that tell one person’s life, like the Eli Cohen one for The Spy Show. This is the plan for your script.
The life in acts
Childhood, rise, turn and ending: each stage with its own chapter card and a change of tone in the music, so the viewer feels the story moving forward.
The photos run out before the story does
Almost nobody has a photo for every year. When the portraits run out, I move to their places, their documents, their objects and the map, never to a stranger’s face. It is the rule I follow on The Spy Show.
Year and age always visible
A small card with the year and the age at each jump in time answers the question every biography viewer has: how old were they here?
Quotes on screen
The person’s own words appear written, word for word, while they are heard. That is what makes a viewer remember them.
The pace of each stage
Slow in the private moments, faster in the rise and in the moments of tension. The pace changes with the life being told; it does not stay fixed for the whole video.
Closest real examples of my work
The Eli Cohen episode, the story of one person, and the Tenerife documentary, the same method with several people at the center.
These are not biographies, but the closest work I’ve edited. Views from the YouTube Data API on Oct 13, 2026; links open the video on YouTube.

- Eli Cohen: Mossad’s Greatest Spy | True Life Spy Stories · The Spy Show (832 subscribers) · 90 views · 21 min · Sep 24, 2026
Why it's close: One person’s story from start to end, built from a script and a voiceover: the closest format to a biography. - The Tenerife Disaster: The Deadliest Crash in Aviation History · The Interpreter (78K subscribers) · 7,687 views · 13 min · Aug 13, 2026
Why it's close: A documentary on one event, told from three points of view, with quote cards, diagrams and slow moves on photos, to the channel’s own style guide.

FAQ
Have you edited biographies before?
I haven’t edited biographies for a channel built on them yet. The closest are episodes of The Spy Show, a series by Vincent Meijer that I edit, built around one real person, like the Eli Cohen one, on my YT Jobs profile. The free 1-minute test edit on your own script is how you judge my cut before paying anything.
Can you edit my biographies?
Yes. Send your script, the voiceover and any images you already have, and I edit one minute for free. I find the rest of the visuals (archive, licensed stock, maps, timelines, text cards) and cut Shorts from the long video if you want them.
What if there are few photos of the person?
I use the ones that exist at the key moments and, in between, their places, their documents and their objects. I never put another person in their place.
Do you edit biographies of athletes or artists with interview footage?
Yes, with the same logic: the interview as voice and evidence, and the rest of the visuals for each line. With third-party footage I tell you what may carry rights.
How much does a YouTube editor for biographies cost?
My price is $55–$150 per finished video depending on complexity; up to $300 for some long or complex edits. By finished length: up to 10 minutes $55, up to 20 minutes $150, up to 35 minutes $300; longer videos get a custom quote. No contract and no minimum.
