Quick fit check: is this editor right for your channel?
- Video types
- Multi-part let’s play series, first playthroughs with commentary, walkthrough parts of a story game, simulator and builder series, daily episodes of the same game, best-of supercuts of a finished series
- Editing style
- A recap of the last episode in a few seconds, dead time cut but the commentary that links two moments kept, one goal of the episode on screen, and an ending right after the peak with a hook for the next part. The way I cut Rex & Alexa’s series in parts
- Video length
- Let’s play channels upload long: theRadBrad’s recent videos 1 to 4 hours, Casas Plays’ about 55 minutes to 1 hour 47, TmarTn2’s series episodes about 25 to 57 minutes (measured on Oct 18, 2026); my series episodes for Rex & Alexa run 17 to 25 minutes. Most land in the $150 or $300 package. I also edit longer: Swaylemc’s full movies on my YT Jobs profile run 60 to 234 minutes.
- Upload schedule
- One video only, 1 video per week, 2–3 videos per week, 4 videos per month or several a week (Mud: about 3 a week). Start with one pilot: the free 1-minute test edit.
- Format
- Long-form YouTube videos are the core. YouTube Shorts cut from each long video on request.
- What you send me
- Gameplay and voice recording, ready to edit, or long recordings that need trimming and story building. Separate mic tracks help.
- Estimated price
- About $55 to $150 per finished video (up to $300 for some long or complex edits), depending on length, raw footage and effects. That fits the ‘$50+’ and ‘$100–$300 per video’ boxes for most long videos. Four videos a month: about $220 to $600 (more for long or complex videos); a $500 a month budget usually covers two to four long videos, depending on length. Exact quote within 24 hours, after a free 1-minute test edit.
- Channel size
- From under 1K subscribers (Mr. Marticson, 834) and small to mid-size channels (ThatNoob 4.9K, Crazz 10.7K, DakBlox 82.6K: 0 to 2M+ views in six months) up to 2M+ (Rex 2.29M, Puff 1.83M, Mud 1.26M)
- Turnaround
- First video in 1 to 5 days, then 1 to 2 days; revisions back within 24 hours
- Track record
- Proven YouTube results: 1,250 videos tracked on YT Jobs and 20 reviews from 19 client channels, 17 of them 10/10. Long-term work: Mud since March 2025, about 3 videos a week.
- Who you work with
- Kevin Tabares, directly. I review every video before it reaches you.
- Channel language
- English or Spanish
- Terms
- Paid in USD by PayPal or USDC. No contract, no minimum.
- Proof in this niche
- Real let’s play videos I edited: “ANIMAL HOSPITAL WITH ALEXA! (CHAOTIC) Part 1” on Rex & Alexa (2.29M subscribers), 79.2K views; “ROBLOX ANIMAL HOSPITAL WITH ALEXA! (FUNNY) Part 2” on Rex & Alexa (2.29M subscribers), 35.4K views
My experience and let’s play, plainly
- Proven: My YT Jobs profile tracks 7 videos I edited with a part number in the title, for Rex & Alexa.
- Not proven yet: Full walkthroughs of story games (2 to 4 hour episodes), no-commentary longplays and simulator series. My series work so far is Rex & Alexa’s Roblox series in parts, 17 to 25 minutes each.
- How to check it before paying: The free 1-minute test edit on your own let’s play footage, before you pay anything.
Why me
- Series in parts on a weekly schedule for Rex & Alexa: 99 Nights in the Forest, Animal Hospital and more, with the same look every episode.
What big let’s play channels upload in 2026
Measured on October 18, 2026, from the 12 most recent long videos of three channels: theRadBrad, TmarTn2 and Casas Plays. Three kinds of series show up:
- The full-game walkthrough in parts: theRadBrad titles them “[GAME] Walkthrough Gameplay Part 1, INTRO (FULL GAME)” and runs 1 to 4 hours per video, with later parts titled by a reaction (“This Game Is Absolutely Brutal...”).
- The simulator series: TmarTn2’s “Planet Zoo 2, Part 3, Building a Zebra Enclosure”, one goal per episode in the title.
- The daily episode of the same game: Casas Plays uploads several parts of one game in a row, about an hour each.
The pattern in all three: a part number, one goal per episode, and a title that changes from the game’s name to a feeling once the series is running.
How I edit let’s play series
This is how I cut the series in parts I’ve edited for Rex & Alexa (99 Nights in the Forest, Animal Hospital, 24 Hours in Market). Where a let’s play asks for something I haven’t done yet, such as a 3-hour story walkthrough, I say how I would do it.
A recap in the first seconds
A viewer may land on part 4 first. I open with a few seconds of where the series stands (the base, the night count, the last big moment) and the goal of this episode, so the video works alone and still rewards viewers who watched from part 1.
Dead time out, the commentary that links in
Raw let’s play footage has menus, walking and waiting. I cut it out but keep the line of commentary that links two moments, so it still feels like one continuous session and not a highlight reel.
One goal on screen per episode
Each part gets one clear objective (survive the night, finish the surgery, reach the next area) and a small, fixed counter or label for it, in the same place every episode, as in Rex & Alexa’s series.
End right after the peak
I end shortly after the episode’s best moment and add a short hook for the next part, instead of letting the session fade out. Long tails are where viewers leave.
The same look every part
Intro, title cards, captions and sounds are built once and reused, so the series is recognized from the first frame and each new part takes less time to edit.
Story walkthroughs: cutscenes kept, grinding compressed
For a story game I would keep cutscenes and first reactions whole, compress grinding and backtracking with a time-skip card, and add YouTube chapters by area, so a 2-hour part stays easy to watch.
Real let’s play videos I edited, plus the closest formats
Series in parts I’ve edited for Rex & Alexa: 99 Nights in the Forest, Animal Hospital and more, each part built to work alone. Plus a long Minecraft session for Puff. Watch the first minute of one.

FAQ
Have you edited let’s play videos before?
Yes. I’ve edited multi-part let’s play series for Rex & Alexa (2.29M subscribers): 99 Nights in the Forest, Animal Hospital and 24 Hours in Market in parts, all on my YT Jobs profile. I haven’t edited full walkthroughs of story games or no-commentary longplays for a client yet; the free 1-minute test edit on your own episode shows you how I would cut them.
Can you edit my let’s play videos?
Yes. Send one raw episode with your voice (a separate mic track helps) and I edit one minute of it for free, so you can judge the cut before paying. I edit long-form episodes from 10 minutes to several hours, and cut Shorts from the best moments if you want them.
How much do you cut from a raw session?
It depends on the session, but I keep what has commentary or something happening and cut menus, loading and silent walking. If you want a lighter cut that keeps the full session feel, tell me and I set the template that way.
Can you keep up with daily episodes?
Yes, with a template. After the first video, episodes take 1 to 2 days; for a daily series, sending footage at a fixed time each day keeps the schedule easy.
Do you edit series with a friend or a group?
Yes. Rex & Alexa’s series are duo videos, and I edit group sessions for Puff. My duo page shows that format.
How much does a let’s play YouTube editor cost?
My price is $55–$150 per finished video depending on complexity; up to $300 for some long or complex edits. By finished length: up to 10 minutes $55, up to 20 minutes $150, up to 35 minutes $300; longer videos get a custom quote. No contract and no minimum.
Send me your let’s play footage
Send me your channel link and one raw recording through the contact form. I’ll edit one minute of it for free and reply with an exact quote.
