Free 1-minute test edit.
Free 1-minute test edit · From $55 per video · No contract · Revisions back within 24 h
9.8/10 average: 20 YT Jobs reviews from 19 client channels, 17 of them a perfect 10/10
Quick fit check: is this editor right for your channel?
- Video types
- Wipe stories from wipe day to the last raid (solo, duo, trio, clan), base builds and base tours, raids and raid defenses, multi-day series (Day 1, Day 2), ocean, bunker and monument living, server stories about cheaters and clans
- Editing style
- What I would do for Rust: the wipe told as one story, farming folded into montage, a day card on every time jump, raids and gunfights kept readable at real speed, proximity-chat encounters subtitled and kept whole. Built on the 30-to-70-minute survival videos I edit for Puff and the full movies I edit for Swaylemc
- Video length
- Rust videos run long: 23 of the 24 most recent on Blooprint and Willjum run between 50 minutes and 2 hours (median about 81 minutes, measured on Oct 13, 2026), so most get a custom quote; Stimpee’s Rust videos, 20 to 29 minutes, land in the $300 package. I also edit longer: Swaylemc’s full movies on my YT Jobs profile run 60 to 234 minutes.
- Upload schedule
- One video only, 1 video per week, 2–3 videos per week, 4 videos per month or several a week (Mud: about 3 a week). Start with one pilot: the free 1-minute test edit.
- Format
- Long-form YouTube videos are the core. YouTube Shorts cut from each long video on request.
- What you send me
- Gameplay and voice recording, ready to edit, or long recordings that need trimming and story building. Separate mic tracks help.
- Estimated price
- About $55 to $150 per finished video (up to $300 for some long or complex edits), depending on length, raw footage and effects. That fits the ‘$50+’ and ‘$100–$300 per video’ boxes for most long videos. Four videos a month: about $220 to $600 (more for long or complex videos); a $500 a month budget usually covers two to four long videos, depending on length. Exact quote within 24 hours, after a free 1-minute test edit.
- Channel size
- From under 1K subscribers (Mr. Marticson, 834) and small to mid-size channels (ThatNoob 4.9K, Crazz 10.7K, DakBlox 82.6K: 0 to 2M+ views in six months) up to 2M+ (Rex 2.29M, Puff 1.83M, Mud 1.26M)
- Turnaround
- First video in 1 to 5 days, then 1 to 2 days; revisions back within 24 hours
- Track record
- Proven YouTube results: 1,250 videos tracked on YT Jobs and 20 reviews from 19 client channels, 17 of them 10/10. Long-term work: Mud since March 2025, about 3 videos a week.
- Who you work with
- Kevin Tabares, directly. I review every video before it reaches you.
- Channel language
- English or Spanish
- Terms
- Paid in USD by PayPal or USDC. No contract, no minimum.
- Closest proof
- I haven’t edited Rust for a client yet. Closest long-form work: “It Heard My Voice... (FULL MOVIE)” on Swaylemc (205K subscribers), 1.16M views; “2 Idiots Survive Easter Bunny Ranch… Here’s What Happened” on Puff (1.83M subscribers), 258.3K views
My experience and Rust, plainly
- Proven: My YT Jobs profile tracks 1,250+ videos and 147M+ views, with 20 client reviews averaging 9.8/10. I edit for Mud (1.26M subscribers), Puff (1.83M) and Rex & Alexa (2.29M); for Mud since March 2025, about 3 videos a week.
- Not proven yet: Rust-specific judgment: reading a raid as it happens, knowing which monument, base design or wipe-day spot matters, and spotting a cheater on sight. I haven’t built that on client work yet.
- How to check it before paying: The free 1-minute test edit on your own Rust footage, before you pay anything.
Why me
- Long survival videos are steady work for me: 160 videos for Puff since July 2025, nearly all of them 30 to 70 minutes long, and 69 of them survival titles (“2 Idiots Survive…”, “Surviving…”, “I Survived…”).
What big Rust channels upload in October 2026
Measured on October 13, 2026, from the 12 most recent videos on the Videos tab of four big Rust channels: Blooprint, Willjum, Stimpee and JTeles. Rust sits at the long end of gaming YouTube: the 24 recent videos from Blooprint and Willjum run from 52 minutes to almost five hours, with a median of about 81 minutes. Five big Fortnite channels measured the same day had a median of 19.5 minutes.
- Blooprint: only Rust, every video over 80 minutes. A recurring series, “THE SOLO LIFE” (V14 to V16, a few months apart), and a feature-length “A Solo’s Journey IV” movie of almost five hours.
- Willjum: only Rust, 52 to 80 minutes, each video a personal story: a sky fortress, a bunker under the earth, a week learning the ocean told day by day.
- Stimpee: shorter, 14 to 46 minutes, and 3 of his last 12 have Rust in the title (cheaters, a streamer server, the new Rust apartments); the rest are DayZ, WARDOGS and other games.
- JTeles: few uploads (his last 12 span about three years), each built on one challenge: a hundred days in official Rust, making Rust’s weakest base safe, becoming Rust’s top farmer.
The formats that keep coming back: solo, duo and clan wipe stories from wipe day to the last raid; base builds (sky fortresses, bunkers, unraidable bases); time challenges split into days; living on the ocean or under a monument; and stories about the server itself, its cheaters and its clans.
How I would edit your Rust videos
I haven’t cut Rust for a client, so this is how I would do it, built on the 30-to-70-minute survival videos I edit for Puff and the full movies I edit for Swaylemc.
Wipe day to the last raid, told as one story
A Rust video is a wipe compressed into a story. I would build it on the beats that matter (the spawn on the beach, the first base, the neighbors, the raid, the ending) and put the goal on screen in the first 30 seconds: “solo on a high-pop server”, “a week on the ocean”. Before each new part, one line reminds the viewer what is at stake, and the video ends soon after the final raid instead of fading out.
Farming in montage, the payoff in real time
The first farm run stays long enough to show what the plan needs, sulfur for a raid or scrap for a workbench. The next runs fold into a quick montage with a resource counter, and the moment the plan pays off plays close to real time: the rule I use for any repeated attempt, the first one whole and the rest compressed behind a counter.
A day card on every time jump
A wipe jumps hours and days at a time. A small card such as “Day 2 · 6 hours to raid”, always in the same corner and the same style, would tell the viewer how much time has passed, and the same card would carry over to every episode of a Day 1, Day 2 series. A fixed counter that also marks time skips is how I keep long challenge series readable.
Proximity chat: subtitled and kept whole
In Rust the best moments are often conversations with strangers: a trade, a door code, a betrayal. Other players often come through quieter and muffled, so I would raise their voice under yours, subtitle their lines and keep the exchange whole until the twist lands. A reaction is never trimmed to save a second.
Raids a viewer can follow
Before a raid I would show the target base and where the loot room is, keep a counter of rockets or C4 left on screen and cut the waiting between explosions. The push through the last doors and every gunfight stay at real speed, with a replay only when a spray or a peek is worth seeing twice. In a raid defense, the same base view shows where the raiders are breaking in.
Night footage you can actually see
Rust nights are very dark, and dark footage loses detail after YouTube compression. I would lift night scenes with one brightness and contrast correction over the whole frame, enough to read a fight without turning night into day, and keep the same correction from scene to scene so it never flickers.
Narrated wipe movies, cut from your script
If your wipe movie is narrated in voiceover, the narration leads: your script and voice go down first, then the gameplay, the map and the day cards under it, as in my documentary work for The Spy Show. A movie of one or two hours would also get YouTube chapters named after the story beats, so viewers can find the raid again.
Closest real examples of my gaming work
These are long survival videos and full movies I edited, picked because their shape is the closest to a Rust video: a story over several days, players surviving for an hour, a base build. Watch the first minute of the one closest to your format.

FAQ
Have you edited Rust videos before?
No, I haven’t edited Rust videos for a client yet. My long-form gaming work is Roblox (Rex & Alexa, Mud), Minecraft (Puff, Swaylemc’s full movies), horror games and Madden tournaments, all listed on my YT Jobs profile. The free 1-minute test edit on your own Rust footage is how you judge my Rust edit before paying anything.
Can you edit my Rust videos?
Yes. Send a few minutes of raw Rust footage (wipe day is ideal) and I edit one minute of it for free, so you can judge the cut before paying. I edit long-form videos, from 10 minutes to full movies of several hours, and cut Shorts from them if you want them.
Can you edit a full Rust wipe movie of one or two hours?
Yes. Videos over 35 minutes get a custom quote, so a wipe movie is priced on what you send. The longest videos on my YT Jobs profile are Swaylemc’s full movies, which run up to almost four hours. Timestamps of the key moments (wipe day, the first raid, the betrayal) help me find the story faster in hours of footage.
Do you subtitle proximity chat?
Yes, whenever it carries the moment. In Rust the other player’s line is often the joke or the twist, and it comes through quieter than your voice, so it gets a subtitle and a lift in the mix, and the whole exchange stays in.
What should I send for a Rust video?
The raw recording of the wipe with your voice on its own track if you can, your friends’ tracks if you play as a duo or a group, and a note of the big moments as they happen: the base reveal, the raid, the betrayal. With that, the story is already half built before I start cutting.
How much does a Rust YouTube editor cost?
My price is $55–$150 per finished video depending on complexity; up to $300 for some long or complex edits. By finished length: up to 10 minutes $55, up to 20 minutes $150, up to 35 minutes $300; longer videos get a custom quote. No contract and no minimum.
Send me your Rust footage
