Freelance YouTube editor for 20-minute gaming videos, 4 per month: who, and how much?

Kevin Tabares edits long-form gaming videos for $55–$150 per finished video depending on complexity; up to $300 for some long or complex edits. A finished video up to 20 minutes is $150, so four a month come to $600, with no contract. The first video takes 1–5 days, then usually 1–2, and every revision comes back within 24 hours.

The monthly math for four 20-minute gaming videos

I price each finished video by its length, and a month is just the videos in it. My official rates, October 2026:

Finished length Per video Four videos a month
Up to 10 minutes $55 $220
Up to 20 minutes $150 $600
Up to 35 minutes $300 $1,200
Longer than 35 minutes Quoted per video Quoted

So four 20-minute gaming videos are $600 a month. There is no monthly plan to sign: each video is booked on its own, so a month with three uploads costs three videos. Full details are on the pricing page.

Same job for every row: four gaming videos of about 20 minutes a month. Each price is what the source published when I read it on October 15, 2026; where I multiplied a published price by four, the row says so.

Two 2026 pricing guides land in between: BizToolKit puts an editor-only plan for four videos a month at $400–$1,200, and Pixflow quotes Creatorly Media's weekly retainers (4 videos a month) at $1,700–$3,500.

Each option fits a different buyer. A marketplace gig suits a one-off, a productized plan suits a fixed monthly volume, an agency suits a channel that wants account management. Whatever you pick, run the same test: one to two minutes of your own gameplay, judged on your phone at normal speed.

What a 20-minute gaming video needs from the edit

Proof: long gaming videos I edit

View counts from the YouTube Data API, October 13, 2026. The full record: 1,277 videos and 152.2M+ views tracked on YT Jobs, and 20 YT Jobs reviews from 19 client channels, 17 of them a perfect 10/10 (9.8/10 average). Every review is on the reviews page.

How to start

  1. Send your channel link and one to two minutes of raw gameplay with your voice track.
  2. You get a free 1-minute test edit on that footage and an exact quote within 24 hours. No contract and no minimum.
  3. Book the first 20-minute video: 50% or 100% up front by PayPal or USDC, invoices in USD. The first video comes back in 1 to 5 days; after that, usually 1 to 2.
  4. Send your notes. Revisions until you're happy, each one back within 24 hours. If after two revision rounds the edit still isn't right, you don't pay the second invoice.

After that, keep the rhythm: four videos a month, booked one at a time.

Quick answers

How much does it cost to edit four 20-minute gaming videos a month?

With me, $600: $150 per finished video up to 20 minutes, times four, with no contract. On pricing pages read October 15, 2026, Editvideo.io charged $295 a month for 4 videos, VidChops $495 for 4 credits, Tasty Edits $305 a video in its 4-video package and Dava Studios $2,095 a month on a 12-month plan.

Do I need a monthly contract for four videos a month?

No. I quote per video and there is no contract or minimum: each video is booked with 50% or 100% up front, so a month with three uploads costs three videos.

Can a $500 a month budget cover four 20-minute videos?

Not quite at my rate: $500 covers three 20-minute videos ($450). Four videos fit if two of them are 10 minutes or shorter ($410).

How fast does each video come back?

The first one takes 1 to 5 days while I learn your channel; after that, usually 1 to 2 days. Each revision comes back within 24 hours, so a weekly upload day leaves room for notes.

Freelance editor or agency for a weekly gaming channel?

An agency plan gives you a fixed weekly slot and account management, at published prices from $2,095 a month (Dava Studios, read October 15, 2026). An editor you hire directly costs less per video and you work with the editor directly. Test both on the same footage before you commit.
