I’m Kevin Tabares, a long-form YouTube editor. Video types
Solo survival adventures told like a film, hidden base and compound builds, raids and betrayals, “how one player changed a server” stories, duo and group lives, new map and DLC first looks (Badlands, Nasdara), short guides
Editing style
What I would do for DayZ: a cold open on the shot or the betrayal, the long walks across the map trimmed to what changes, every encounter with another player played in real time with the proximity chat clear, and a score that turns tense before a gunfight. Close to the way I cut Swaylemc’s cinematic full movies
Video length
DayZ stories are long: SourSweet’s recent uploads run 33 minutes to 1 hour 36, Ar-K’s 48 minutes to 1 hour 17 and CamCANTRUN’s adventures about 55 minutes to an hour (measured on Oct 18, 2026), so most get a custom quote; shorter ones land in the $300 package. I also edit longer: Swaylemc’s full movies on my YT Jobs profile run 60 to 234 minutes.
Upload schedule
One video only, 1 video per week, 2–3 videos per week, 4 videos per month or several a week (Mud: about 3 a week). Start with one pilot: the free 1-minute test edit.
Format
Long-form YouTube videos are the core. YouTube Shorts cut from each long video on request.
What you send me
Gameplay and voice recording, ready to edit, or long recordings that need trimming and story building. Separate mic tracks help.
Estimated price
About $55 to $150 per finished video (up to $300 for some long or complex edits), depending on length, raw footage and effects. That fits the ‘$50+’ and ‘$100–$300 per video’ boxes for most long videos. Four videos a month: about $220 to $600 (more for long or complex videos); a $500 a month budget usually covers two to four long videos, depending on length. Exact quote within 24 hours, after a free 1-minute test edit.
Channel size
From under 1K subscribers (Mr. Marticson, 834) and small to mid-size channels (ThatNoob 4.9K, Crazz 10.7K, DakBlox 82.6K: 0 to 2M+ views in six months) up to 2M+ (Rex 2.29M, Puff 1.83M, Mud 1.26M)
Turnaround
First video in 1 to 5 days, then 1 to 2 days; revisions back within 24 hours
Track record
Proven YouTube results: 1,277 videos tracked on YT Jobs and 20 reviews from 19 client channels, 17 of them 10/10. Long-term work: Mud since March 2025, about 3 videos a week.

My experience and DayZ, plainly

Why me

What big DayZ channels upload in October 2026

Measured on October 18, 2026, from the 12 most recent long videos of SourSweet, Ar-K and CamCANTRUN, the week the Badlands DLC and its Nasdara map came out. SourSweet’s run from 33 minutes to 1 hour 36, Ar-K’s from 48 minutes to 1 hour 17, and CamCANTRUN’s adventures about an hour, next to short guides. These are stories, not highlights. How I would edit your DayZ videos

No DayZ channel has sent me footage yet, so read this as my plan. Each point comes from work I already do: Swaylemc’s cinematic full movies, Puff’s survival videos and Crazz’s base runs in 99 Nights.

The shot, or the betrayal, before the spawn

A DayZ title promises a story: the hidden base, the server conquered, the friend who betrayed you. I would open on a few seconds of that moment, then go back to the spawn on the beach, so the promise is paid in the first 30 seconds.

Long walks trimmed to what changes

DayZ is mostly travel. I would cut the walking to the moments something changes (a town, a sound, a find), keep the commentary that links them and use a small map when the location changes, so viewers follow the journey without having played the map.

Encounters in real time, with the voices clear

Meeting another player is the heart of DayZ. I would play every encounter at full length, bring the proximity chat up and subtitle it when it is hard to hear, and hold the silence before someone shoots, the way a scare lands in Swaylemc’s movies.

Gunfights cut on the shot

A DayZ fight is over in seconds. I would cut on the shot, slow down the moment that decides it once, show the hit clearly and then stay on the aftermath: the looting, the relief or the death screen.

Bases as before and after

A hidden base is built over days. I would turn the building into a montage with your voiceover, show the base before and after and come back to it when someone gets close, as in the base runs I edit for Crazz.

Music by act, chapters for an hour

An hour-long life has acts: the spawn, the gear-up, the base, the conflict. I would score each act on its own, keep your voice clearly above the music and add YouTube chapters, so a long upload is easy to come back to.

Closest real examples of my gaming work

Five long-form videos I edited, chosen because their format sits closest to a DayZ story: a cinematic full movie for Swaylemc, two base videos for Crazz and survival videos for Puff. Watch the first minute of the one closest to your format.

None of these is DayZ. Views from the YouTube Data API on Oct 13, 2026; links open the video on YouTube.

FAQ

Have you edited DayZ videos before?

No, I haven’t edited DayZ videos for a client yet. I edit Swaylemc’s cinematic Minecraft full movies, long survival videos for Puff and base runs for Crazz, all on my YT Jobs profile. To see my cut on your own DayZ footage before you pay, ask for the free 1-minute test edit.

Can you edit my DayZ videos?

Yes. Send a few minutes of one recorded life, with your commentary or voiceover and I edit one minute of it for free, so you can judge the cut before paying. I edit long-form videos, from 10 minutes to full movies of several hours, and cut Shorts from them if you want them.

Can you edit a DayZ movie of an hour or more?

Yes. Videos over 35 minutes get a custom quote. I would build it in acts with chapters, keep every encounter whole and trim the travel. The longest videos in my portfolio are Swaylemc’s full movies, up to almost four hours.

Can you make proximity chat easy to understand?

Yes. I level each voice, duck the game sound under it and add subtitles on the lines that matter, so a negotiation or a betrayal is clear even with gunfire around it.

Do you edit other survival shooters, like Rust or ARC Raiders?

Yes. My Rust page and ARC Raiders page explain how I would cut them.

How much does a DayZ YouTube editor cost?

My price is $55–$150 per finished video depending on complexity; up to $300 for some long or complex edits. By finished length: up to 10 minutes $55, up to 20 minutes $150, up to 35 minutes $300; longer videos get a custom quote. No contract and no minimum.

Send me your DayZ footage

Send me your channel link and one raw recording through the contact form. I’ll edit one minute of it for free and reply with an exact quote.
