9.8/10 average: 20 YT Jobs reviews from 19 client channels, 17 of them a perfect 10/10
Quick fit check: is this editor right for your channel?
- Video types
- SMP and Lifesteal story videos (one plan, one server, one payoff), season finales and recaps, server wars and betrayals, joining a new SMP, Minecraft roleplay series in episodes, a whole season cut into one movie, SMP lore
- Editing style
- What I would do for an SMP: the plan on screen early, weeks of server play cut down to one story, a fixed heart and day counter, a name card for every player, fights kept at real speed. Close to Swaylemc’s Minecraft full movies and my Minecraft videos with friends for Puff
- Video length
- SMP story videos on big channels run from 17-minute roleplay episodes to 54-minute Lifesteal videos (SB737’s recent Lifesteal and SMP videos: 26 to 54 minutes, measured on Oct 13, 2026), so most land in the $300 package or get a custom quote; short roleplay episodes fit the $150 one. I also edit longer: Swaylemc’s full movies on my YT Jobs profile run 60 to 234 minutes.
- Upload schedule
- One video only, 1 video per week, 2–3 videos per week, 4 videos per month or several a week (Mud: about 3 a week). Start with one pilot: the free 1-minute test edit.
- Format
- Long-form YouTube videos are the core. YouTube Shorts cut from each long video on request.
- What you send me
- Gameplay and voice recording, ready to edit, or long recordings that need trimming and story building. Separate mic tracks help.
- Estimated price
- About $55 to $150 per finished video (up to $300 for some long or complex edits), depending on length, raw footage and effects. That fits the ‘$50+’ and ‘$100–$300 per video’ boxes for most long videos. Four videos a month: about $220 to $600 (more for long or complex videos); a $500 a month budget usually covers two to four long videos, depending on length. Exact quote within 24 hours, after a free 1-minute test edit.
- Channel size
- From under 1K subscribers (Mr. Marticson, 834) and small to mid-size channels (ThatNoob 4.9K, Crazz 10.7K, DakBlox 82.6K: 0 to 2M+ views in six months) up to 2M+ (Rex 2.29M, Puff 1.83M, Mud 1.26M)
- Turnaround
- First video in 1 to 5 days, then 1 to 2 days; revisions back within 24 hours
- Track record
- Proven YouTube results: 1,250 videos tracked on YT Jobs and 20 reviews from 19 client channels, 17 of them 10/10. Long-term work: Mud since March 2025, about 3 videos a week.
- Who you work with
- Kevin Tabares, directly. I review every video before it reaches you.
- Channel language
- English or Spanish
- Terms
- Paid in USD by PayPal or USDC. No contract, no minimum.
- Closest proof
- I haven’t edited Minecraft SMP for a client yet. Closest long-form work: “It Heard My Voice... (FULL MOVIE)” on Swaylemc (205K subscribers), 1.16M views; “3 Idiots Hunt Down the Sun Man in Minecraft” on Puff (1.83M subscribers), 1.37M views
My experience and Minecraft SMP, plainly
- Proven: My YT Jobs profile tracks 1,250+ videos and 147M+ views, with 20 client reviews averaging 9.8/10. I edit for Mud (1.26M subscribers), Puff (1.83M) and Rex & Alexa (2.29M); for Mud since March 2025, about 3 videos a week.
- Not proven yet: SMP-specific judgment: knowing a server’s lore, its players and its running jokes on sight, and the pacing of a short PvP montage cut to music. I haven’t built that on client work yet.
- How to check it before paying: The free 1-minute test edit on your own Minecraft SMP footage, before you pay anything.
Why me
- Minecraft is a big part of my work: 160 videos for Puff (Minecraft horror and survival, many of them on mods; 53 are group videos like “2 Idiots Survive…”) and Swaylemc’s full movies.
- Story series in episodes and seasons: BloxWorld TV’s Roblox series (earlier work) and First Kiss Summer, Alli Ingram’s scripted series.
What big Minecraft SMP channels upload in 2026
Measured on October 13, 2026, from the 12 most recent long videos of three big channels that upload Minecraft server and roleplay stories: SB737 (Lifesteal SMP), ClownPierce (Lifesteal and other servers) and Aphmau (Minecraft roleplay series). SB737’s eight recent Lifesteal and SMP videos run 26 to 54 minutes, and his hunt for every advancement runs about three hours. ClownPierce’s newest uploads run 8 to 22 minutes. Aphmau’s roleplay episodes run 17 to 22 minutes, plus a 45-minute movie. The formats that keep coming back:
- One plan on a shared server, told as a story: trapping every player in the End, flooding the Nether, becoming the richest player on the server.
- Lifesteal seasons, where players win and lose hearts, ending in a finale (“Lifesteal SMP: THE FINALE”).
- Joining a new server (“I Joined the Strength SMP…”) or trying a different one (“The best Minecraft server I’ve ever played”).
- Roleplay series in episodes of about 20 minutes, plus a longer movie upload.
- Hardcore survival videos alongside the SMP ones, on the same channel (SB737).
How I would edit your Minecraft SMP videos
I haven’t cut an SMP or Lifesteal series for a client, so this is how I would do it, built on the Minecraft and Roblox videos I edit every week and on Swaylemc’s full movies.
The scheme on screen before the first block goes down
SMP story videos sell a scheme: trap every player in the End, flood the Nether, become the richest player. I would put the scheme, the target and what you risk losing on screen in the first 30 seconds, then repeat it in one line before each new section. Rex & Alexa’s challenge videos follow the same rule: the promise of the title is paid early.
Weeks of server time, cut down to one story
One SMP video can cover days or weeks of play. I would find the story first (the plan, the setback, the payoff), fold the mining, farming and building into short montages with a day counter, and keep the moments where the plan changes close to real time. It is how I compress repeated attempts in Roblox obby videos, and how a Swaylemc full movie carries one story for over two and a half hours.
A heart counter that never moves
On Lifesteal the hearts are the score. I would keep a heart counter, plus a day or episode counter, in the same corner and the same style in every video, and change it on the exact frame a heart is won or lost. A viewer who skips ahead always knows where you stand: the fixed counter I use for attempts and days in challenge videos.
Who is who on a crowded server
The first time a player shows up, a name card; when alliances matter, a quick card with who is on which side; when the plan crosses the server, a simple map from the base to the portal. Designed once and reused, so someone who starts at episode 12 can follow it without episodes 1 to 11.
Wars, betrayals and finales: the news first
For a season finale, a war or a recap of what happened on the server, I would open on the news: who lost their last heart, who betrayed whom, which base fell. Then why it matters, then the story. It is the order I use in Mud’s Roblox Rivals News, including the episodes about the #1 player getting banned.
PvP at real speed, the betrayal held
Fights stay at real speed so they stay readable, with a replay only for the kill that changes the season. I would cut on the hit, hold the reaction, and keep the chat message or voice line that starts a betrayal on screen long enough to read. If your server runs voice chat, every player gets levelled so the argument is clear, and music drops under the planning scenes.
Recaps, episodes and the season movie
Each episode would open with a short recap of where the story stands and end on the next goal, with one title card and one end screen for the whole season. When the season ends, the episodes can become one long video with YouTube chapters; feature length is familiar ground, from the full movies I cut for Swaylemc.
Closest real examples of my gaming work
These are long-form videos I edited, picked because their format is the closest to an SMP story video: a long Minecraft story, Minecraft with friends, a story series in seasons, community drama told as news and a survival series in parts. Watch the first minute of the one closest to your format.
None of these is Minecraft SMP. Views from the YouTube Data API on Oct 13, 2026; links open the video on YouTube.

- It Heard My Voice... (FULL MOVIE) · Swaylemc (205K subscribers) · 1,157,567 views · 164 min · Jun 29, 2026
Why it's close: A Minecraft horror-mod film carried as one story for over two and a half hours: the closest format I’ve edited to a whole SMP season told as one video. - 3 Idiots Hunt Down the Sun Man in Minecraft · Puff (1.83M subscribers) · 1,370,403 views · 47 min · Apr 17, 2026
Why it's close: Three players in Minecraft chasing one goal (hunting down the Sun Man), 47 minutes long: the length and the group dynamic of a Lifesteal video. - EVIL 1000 TOOK OVER OUR GAME!! Numberblock 1000 Turns EVIL!! SEASON 2 - EP.2 | Roblox · BloxWorld TV (227K subscribers) · 1,732,759 views · 9 min · Feb 1, 2025
Why it's close: A numbered story series (Season 2, Episode 2) with recurring characters and a villain who takes over the game: the shape of an SMP arc, in Roblox. - The #1 PLAYER got BANNED... (Roblox Rivals News) Very Sad 😭 · Mud (1.26M subscribers) · 229,523 views · 11 min · Sep 27, 2026
Why it's close: Drama told as news: who got banned, why it matters, then the story. The order I would use for a Lifesteal recap or finale. - Roblox 99 Nights in the Forest with Alexa! (SPECIAL GUESTS) Part 3 · Rex & Alexa (2.29M subscribers) · 439,153 views · 20 min · Aug 22, 2025
Why it's close: Part 3 of a survival series, with special guests joining: continuity from part to part, the way an SMP runs episode after episode.

FAQ
Have you edited Minecraft SMP videos before?
No, I haven’t edited Minecraft SMP or Lifesteal videos for a client yet. Minecraft itself is a big part of my work: horror and survival videos with friends for Puff, Swaylemc’s full movies and earlier Minecraft videos for Boffy and Skeppy, all on my YT Jobs profile. The free 1-minute test edit on your own SMP footage is how you judge my cut before paying anything.
Can you edit my Minecraft SMP videos?
Yes. Send a few minutes of raw SMP footage, plus your voiceover or story notes if you have them, and I edit one minute of it for free, so you can judge the cut before paying. I edit long-form videos, from 10 minutes to full movies of several hours, and cut Shorts from them if you want them.
Can you turn a whole SMP season into one long video?
Yes. Videos over 35 minutes get a custom quote. The Minecraft full movies I cut for Swaylemc run up to almost four hours: one story from start to finish.
Do you edit SMP lore videos and PvP montages?
I haven’t edited an SMP lore video yet. Lore videos are built on a script and a voiceover, which is how I edit The Spy Show’s documentary episodes; I would cut yours the same way, with the server footage, a timeline and the map on screen as you narrate. Short PvP montages cut to music are not in my portfolio: my core is long-form.
Do you edit Minecraft roleplay series, like Aphmau’s?
I haven’t edited a Minecraft roleplay series yet. I have edited story series: BloxWorld TV’s Roblox series, numbered in seasons and episodes, and episodes of First Kiss Summer, Alli Ingram’s scripted series. A Minecraft roleplay episode would get the same care: clear scenes, each character introduced once and an ending that sets up the next episode.
Do you edit modded SMPs?
Not as a series yet, but modded Minecraft is my daily work: I’ve edited 160 videos for Puff, almost all of them Minecraft horror and many built on mods, and Swaylemc’s full movies are horror-mod films. More on my Minecraft horror mod editor page.
How much does a Minecraft SMP YouTube editor cost?
My price is $55–$150 per finished video depending on complexity; up to $300 for some long or complex edits. By finished length: up to 10 minutes $55, up to 20 minutes $150, up to 35 minutes $300; longer videos get a custom quote. No contract and no minimum.
