Video types
Day-count survival movies (a hundred days, several hundred days), base and fortress builds, challenge settings (wilderness, extinction, skyblock, trapped inside), hardcore and ironman multiplayer servers, story roleplay, mod and Build 42 update videos
Editing style
What I would do for Project Zomboid: a day counter that never moves, weeks of looting and building turned into montages, every close call with the horde played in real time, and the run told as one story with acts. Close to the way I cut Swaylemc’s full movies and Crazz’s 99 Nights survival runs
Video length
Project Zomboid survival movies are long: ThatGuyPredz’s recent uploads run 40 minutes to over 3 hours, Mr. Brollow’s 35 minutes to 2 hours 23 and Kokoplays’ 1 hour 20 to almost 9 hours (measured on Oct 18, 2026), so most get a custom quote; shorter challenges land in the $300 package. I also edit longer: Swaylemc’s full movies on my YT Jobs profile run 60 to 234 minutes.
Upload schedule
One video only, 1 video per week, 2–3 videos per week, 4 videos per month or several a week (Mud: about 3 a week). Start with one pilot: the free 1-minute test edit.
Format
Long-form YouTube videos are the core. YouTube Shorts cut from each long video on request.
What you send me
Gameplay and voice recording, ready to edit, or long recordings that need trimming and story building. Separate mic tracks help.
Estimated price
About $55 to $150 per finished video (up to $300 for some long or complex edits), depending on length, raw footage and effects. That fits the ‘$50+’ and ‘$100–$300 per video’ boxes for most long videos. Four videos a month: about $220 to $600 (more for long or complex videos); a $500 a month budget usually covers two to four long videos, depending on length. Exact quote within 24 hours, after a free 1-minute test edit.
Channel size
From under 1K subscribers (Mr. Marticson, 834) and small to mid-size channels (ThatNoob 4.9K, Crazz 10.7K, DakBlox 82.6K: 0 to 2M+ views in six months) up to 2M+ (Rex 2.29M, Puff 1.83M, Mud 1.26M)
Turnaround
First video in 1 to 5 days, then 1 to 2 days; revisions back within 24 hours
Track record
Proven YouTube results: 1,277 videos tracked on YT Jobs and 20 reviews from 19 client channels, 17 of them 10/10. Long-term work: Mud since March 2025, about 3 videos a week.

My experience and Project Zomboid, plainly

Why me

What big Project Zomboid channels upload in 2026

Measured on October 18, 2026, from the 12 most recent long videos of ThatGuyPredz, Mr. Brollow and Kokoplays, with Build 42 now stable. ThatGuyPredz’s run from 40 minutes to over 3 hours, Mr. Brollow’s from 35 minutes to 2 hours 23, and Kokoplays’ from 1 hour 20 to almost 9 hours. Two of the three call their uploads movies. The formats that keep coming back:

How I would edit your Project Zomboid videos

No Project Zomboid channel has sent me footage yet, so read this as my plan. Each point comes from work I already do: Swaylemc’s full movies, Crazz’s and DakBlox’s day-by-day survival runs in 99 Nights and Puff’s survival series.

The ending, or the worst night, first

A survival movie title promises an outcome: the fortress finished, the winter survived, or the bite. I would open on a few seconds of it, then go back to day one, so the promise is paid in the first 30 seconds.

One day counter, all movie long

The day count is the spine of a Zomboid movie. I would keep it in a small card that never moves, with the season or the settings next to it, and use it to mark every time jump, so viewers always know how far the run has come.

Looting and building as montages

Hours of looting houses and carrying planks are the work, not the show. I would turn them into montages with your voiceover, a before-and-after of the base and a counter climbing, as I compress the base building in Crazz’s 99 Nights runs.

Every close call in real time

When the horde breaks in, the movie slows down. I would play close calls at full speed with the game’s sound up, make the health and moodles readable, and hold your reaction, so the danger feels real after an hour of calm.

Acts, chapters and a recap

A two or three hour movie needs structure: first night, first base, first winter, the end. I would give each act its own music, add YouTube chapters at each one and a short recap after long time jumps, the way Swaylemc’s movies hold for up to almost four hours.

Voiceover over gameplay

Many Zomboid movies are narrated after the fact. I would build the edit on your voiceover, give every line the shot that proves it and leave a pause after the lines that matter, with the music clearly under your voice.

Closest real examples of my gaming work

Five long-form videos I edited, chosen because their format sits closest to a Project Zomboid movie: a full movie for Swaylemc, day-count and base runs in 99 Nights for Crazz and DakBlox, and Puff’s hardcore survival. Watch the first minute of the one closest to your format.

None of these is Project Zomboid. Views from the YouTube Data API on Oct 13, 2026; links open the video on YouTube.

FAQ

Have you edited Project Zomboid videos before?

No, I haven’t edited Project Zomboid videos for a client yet. I edit Swaylemc’s full movies and long survival videos for Puff, Crazz and DakBlox, all on my YT Jobs profile. To see my cut on your own Project Zomboid footage before you pay, ask for the free 1-minute test edit.

Can you edit my Project Zomboid videos?

Yes. Send a few minutes of one recorded session, with your commentary or voiceover and I edit one minute of it for free, so you can judge the cut before paying. I edit long-form videos, from 10 minutes to full movies of several hours, and cut Shorts from them if you want them.

Can you edit a Project Zomboid movie of three hours or more?

Yes, it gets a custom quote. I would keep a day counter, build it in acts with YouTube chapters, turn looting and building into montages and play every close call in real time. Swaylemc’s full movies on my portfolio run up to almost four hours.

Do I have to send the whole recording?

Yes, send everything you recorded, plus notes of the moments you want kept. I cut the run down to the story; you do not need to pre-select clips.

Do you edit other zombie and survival games?

Yes, the same way. My Rust page covers multiplayer survival and my 99 Nights in the Forest page shows real day-by-day survival videos I edit.

How much does a Project Zomboid YouTube editor cost?

My price is $55–$150 per finished video depending on complexity; up to $300 for some long or complex edits. By finished length: up to 10 minutes $55, up to 20 minutes $150, up to 35 minutes $300; longer videos get a custom quote. No contract and no minimum.
