How I would cut an “or die” video
This is the plan I would follow with your footage, built on the eight “or die” duo videos I edit for Rex & Alexa.
The rule before the first round
An “or die” game is sold by one rule: stay quiet, hide, sit, land, guess. I would put that rule, and what happens when you break it, on screen before the first round, so a viewer who arrives from a Short understands the stakes in seconds.
Every round ends on the fail
Rounds repeat, so the waiting goes and each round is cut to its turning point: the noise that gives you away, the bad landing, the wrong guess. The fail and the reaction stay whole.
A score you can follow
In a duo, who survived each round is the story. I would keep a small counter for each player in the same corner all video long and play the last round as the final.
The sound that ends the round
When a noise or a mistake ends the round, the viewer has to hear it: the game audio stays up at that moment, and your voices sit above it everywhere else.
Sequels that promise something new
A second video in the same game works when it shows what changed early: a harder level, a new map, a new rule. Same cards and counter, so the series feels like one show.
Shorts from the best fail
One fail with its reaction becomes a vertical Short with captions that points to the full video.

Yes.
