How I would cut a Would You Rather video
This is the plan I would follow with your footage, built on the Would You Rather videos I edit for Rex & Alexa and the one on DakBlox’s channel.
Both options, readable
The choice is the hook, so both options stay on screen, large enough to read on a phone and long enough for the viewer to pick one before the players do.
A beat before the result
Between the choice and what happens next, one short beat: the viewer has picked a side too and wants to know if it was the right one.
The consequence, whole
In the versions where the choice actually happens, the consequence is the payoff: it plays whole, with the reaction, and the walking between rounds is cut.
Towers with a counter
In a Would You Rather tower, a floor counter in the same corner shows how far you have climbed, and the last floors stay close to real time.
Two players who disagree
When two players pick different options, the argument is the content: both voices clear, and the cut goes to whoever is losing it.
Themed editions as one show
Baddie, age or holiday editions work as episodes of one show: the same opening, cards and counter, and the new theme shown early.
