My experience and Roblox Japanese horror, plainly

Why me

What The Mimic and Japanese horror channels upload in October 2026

On October 18, 2026, I read a YouTube search for The Mimic and for Roblox Japanese horror games, and the 12 latest videos of channels that play them: HeyyVance, Josh Plays, AQUISI blox and GameSphere. That day, breakdowns of the new trailer for The Mimic’s Nightmare Circus revamp were going up. The formats that keep coming back:

How I edit Japanese horror videos

This is how I cut the PetaPeta videos I’ve edited for Rex & Alexa and Fright Friends and the Roblox horror I edit for Puff Blox and DakBlox. Where The Mimic asks for something I haven’t done yet, such as a lore breakdown, I say how I would do it.

Dread kept, not trimmed away

Japanese horror is slow: long hallways, sounds behind a door, a figure at the end of a corridor. I keep those quiet stretches when something could happen and cut them only when nothing can, then let the scare land on the frame and hold the reaction whole. A scream is never trimmed to save a second.

Chases cut fast, cutscenes left alone

A chase gets quick cuts on each turn and the music up; a story cutscene plays whole, with no memes on top. The contrast is what makes the next chase hit. Sound effects and jokes wait until after the scare, never on top of it.

Notes and on-screen text readable

These games tell their story through notes, signs and dialogue. I would hold each note long enough to read, add a clean caption or zoom when the text is small, and translate a line on screen if the game shows Japanese text that matters to the story.

One chapter per video, or chapters inside one video

For a walkthrough I would put the book or chapter and the goal on screen in the first 30 seconds, keep a chapter card in the same place in every part, and add YouTube chapters to anything over 30 minutes, so a viewer stuck on one part can jump straight to it.

Deaths: the first one whole, the retries compressed

If a chase takes several tries, I show the first death in full so the threat makes sense, fold the retries into a quick montage with a try counter and play the run you finally survive close to real time. It is how I cut repeated attempts in Roblox obby and survival videos.

Lore and trailer breakdowns from your script

I haven’t edited a lore breakdown for The Mimic yet. I would cut it like my documentary work for The Spy Show: your script and voiceover first, then the game footage, the trailer frames and the evidence on screen as you narrate.

Real Roblox Japanese horror videos I edited, plus the closest formats

Two PetaPeta videos I’ve edited for Rex & Alexa and Fright Friends, plus Roblox horror and a long Minecraft horror movie from my work for DakBlox, Puff Blox and Swaylemc. Watch the first minute of the one closest to your format.

All of these are videos I edited, tracked on my YT Jobs profile. Views from the YouTube Data API on Oct 13, 2026; links open the video on YouTube.

FAQ

Have you edited Roblox Japanese horror videos before?

Partly. I’ve edited Japanese horror for Rex & Alexa and Fright Friends, two PetaPeta videos, and Roblox horror for Puff Blox and DakBlox, all on my YT Jobs profile. I haven’t edited The Mimic for a client yet; the free 1-minute test edit on your own footage shows you how I would cut it before you pay.

Can you edit my Roblox Japanese horror videos?

Yes. Send a few minutes of raw footage from The Mimic or another Japanese horror game, ideally with your voice recorded separately, and I edit one minute of it for free so you can judge the cut before paying. I edit long-form videos, from 10 minutes to full walkthroughs of several hours, and cut Shorts from them if you want them.

Can you edit a full walkthrough of several hours?

Yes. Videos up to 35 minutes fit the $300 package and longer ones get a custom quote. I would add YouTube chapters for each book or chapter, keep the same chapter card throughout and level the loudness so the last chase is not louder than your voice at the start.

Do you edit every-jumpscare compilations?

Yes, as a capability. Each monster gets a name card, the build-up before its scare and the scare itself, in the same order every time, with chapters so the video works as a reference.

Will you keep the game’s audio and music clear?

Yes. In these games the sound tells you what is coming, so I keep footsteps, whispers and the chase music audible under your voice and level the screams so they hit without clipping.

How much does a Roblox Japanese horror YouTube editor cost?

My price is $55–$150 per finished video depending on complexity; up to $300 for some long or complex edits. By finished length: up to 10 minutes $55, up to 20 minutes $150, up to 35 minutes $300; longer videos get a custom quote. No contract and no minimum.
