Video types
Build challenges with one rule (cheapest items only, a real floor plan, every room a different theme), renovations of EA and community lots, tiny-house and seasonal challenges in episodes, legacy challenges and let's plays, Create-a-Sim episodes, mod, CC and Marketplace pack showcases
Editing style
What I would do for Sims 4: the rule and the budget on screen before build mode, timelapses that slow down for each choice, a room-by-room reveal, recaps and family cards that carry a let’s play across episodes, and quieter sound than a Roblox video. Closest to my Bloxburg build battles for Robuilds and my Dress To Impress work for ashlele and AshleyBunni
Video length
Sims channels upload long: 45 recent Sims videos from lilsimsie, James Turner, Kelsey Impicciche and Just Nora Gaming ran 19 to 68 minutes (median 41.6, measured on Oct 13, 2026), so most land in the $300 package or get a custom quote. I also edit longer: Swaylemc’s full movies on my YT Jobs profile run 60 to 234 minutes.
Upload schedule
One video only, 1 video per week, 2–3 videos per week, 4 videos per month or several a week (Mud: about 3 a week). Start with one pilot: the free 1-minute test edit.
Format
Long-form YouTube videos are the core. YouTube Shorts cut from each long video on request.
What you send me
Gameplay and voice recording, ready to edit, or long recordings that need trimming and story building. Separate mic tracks help.
Estimated price
About $55 to $150 per finished video (up to $300 for some long or complex edits), depending on length, raw footage and effects. That fits the ‘$50+’ and ‘$100–$300 per video’ boxes for most long videos. Four videos a month: about $220 to $600 (more for long or complex videos); a $500 a month budget usually covers two to four long videos, depending on length. Exact quote within 24 hours, after a free 1-minute test edit.
Channel size
From under 1K subscribers (Mr. Marticson, 834) and small to mid-size channels (ThatNoob 4.9K, Crazz 10.7K, DakBlox 82.6K: 0 to 2M+ views in six months) up to 2M+ (Rex 2.29M, Puff 1.83M, Mud 1.26M)

My experience and Sims 4, plainly

Why me

What Sims 4 channels upload in October 2026

Measured on October 13, 2026, from the 12 most recent videos of four Sims channels (lilsimsie, James Turner, Kelsey Impicciche and Just Nora Gaming; three of those videos are other games: Paralives, Animal Crossing and Planet Zoo 2). The 45 Sims videos run 19 to 68 minutes, with a median of 41.6, and 32 of them pass 35 minutes. lilsimsie’s are the shortest, 19 to 33 minutes; James Turner’s the longest, 36 to 68. The formats that keep coming back:

A YouTube search for recent Sims 4 videos on the same day also turned up mod and custom content roundups with the links in the description, reviews of new Marketplace maker packs, speed builds, stop-motion builds and relaxing longplays of five hours.

How I would edit your Sims 4 videos

I haven’t edited Sims 4 for a client, so this is how I would do it, built on my Bloxburg build battles for Robuilds and the Dress To Impress and Heartopia videos I’ve edited for ashlele.

The rule and the budget before build mode opens

A Sims build challenge lives on its rule: only the cheapest items, a real floor plan, a 5x5 lot. I would put the rule, the lot size and the starting budget on screen in the first 30 seconds and keep a small budget counter in the same corner whenever the build catalog is open, so the limit is felt until the reveal. Opening on the rule is how I start Rex & Alexa’s challenge videos.

Build mode in timelapse, live mode in real time

Most Sims build footage is the catalog: cycling swatches, dragging walls, turning the camera. I would keep each moment you choose between two options and say why, ramp walls, floors and landscaping into timelapses under your voice, and cut searches that find nothing. When the video moves to live mode, the first meal or the first night in the house, the timelapse stops and it plays close to real time, because that is where the house gets tested.

A reveal tour that pays off the title

The finished lot gets one slow tour: each room once, from the angle you picked, with its theme on screen (the zodiac sign, the country, the princess). A renovation gets the same angle before and after, side by side; a real floor plan sits next to the finished house. The video ends soon after the tour, the way my Bloxburg build battles for Robuilds end soon after the reveal and the verdict.

Let’s plays and legacies that carry across episodes

A legacy challenge is a story told over dozens of parts. I would open each episode with a 20 to 30 second recap of the last one, show a card with each sim’s name, traits and aspiration the first time they appear, and reuse one family-tree card whenever a baby is born or an heir is chosen. Cards designed once and reused, so every episode looks like the same series, is what I do for Mud’s Roblox Rivals News.

Age-ups, weddings and the Grim Reaper, held whole

The big moments of a Sims let’s play are life events: an age-up, a wedding, a kitchen fire, a death. I would cut on the moment and keep your reaction whole, never trimming a scream or a laugh to save a second. A character who ages a life stage every round is a format I edited on AshleyBunni’s Dress To Impress videos.

Mods, CC and packs: the item first, the name spelled right

In a mod showcase, a CC haul or a Marketplace pack review, each item goes on screen first, close up, with its name and creator spelled exactly as in your link list, then your opinion. I would hand you chapter timestamps that match that list for the description. It is the item-by-item format of ashlele’s video on all the items in the new Dress To Impress advent calendar, and the news-first order of Mud’s Roblox Rivals News.

Quieter sound than a Roblox video

Many Sims viewers watch to unwind. I would use far fewer sound effects and zooms than in my Roblox work, keep the music low and steady under the timelapses, and leave Simlish and game sounds just under your voice. That tone is different from most of my channels, which is exactly what the free 1-minute test edit is for: you hear it before you pay.

Closest real examples of my gaming work

These are videos I edited, picked because their format is the closest to a Sims 4 video: building, renovating, aging up, life drama, recreating characters and a cozy life-sim game. Start with the one closest to what you upload.

None of these is Sims 4. Views from the YouTube Data API on Oct 13, 2026; links open the video on YouTube.

FAQ

Have you edited Sims 4 videos before?

No, I haven’t edited Sims 4 videos for a client yet. My closest work is building and life-sim content: Bloxburg build battles and a house transformation for Robuilds, Dress To Impress for ashlele and AshleyBunni, and Heartopia for ashlele, all on my YT Jobs profile. The free 1-minute test edit on your own Sims 4 footage is how you judge my Sims edit before paying anything.

Can you edit my Sims 4 videos?

Yes. Send a few minutes of raw footage, ideally a stretch of build mode and a stretch of live mode, and I edit one minute of it for free so you can judge the cut before paying. Long Sims videos are what I would focus on; Shorts of a speed build or a reveal can be cut from them on request.

Can you edit an hour-long build or legacy episode?

Yes. Videos over 35 minutes get a custom quote, and with Sims that is the usual case: 32 of the 45 recent videos I measured on four Sims channels passed 35 minutes. An hour-long build is lighter to cut than it sounds: most of it becomes timelapse, and only the decisions and the final tour stay at real speed.

Do you edit speed builds with no commentary?

Yes. A speed build is carried by the music and the pace of the timelapse instead of a voice, so I would cut it to the beat of your track, slow down for the finishing details and end on the tour. Send the raw build recording and the track you want to use.

Do you edit other cozy and life-sim games, like Paralives, Animal Crossing or Heartopia?

Heartopia, yes: I’ve edited Heartopia videos for ashlele. Paralives and Animal Crossing not yet; they would get the same treatment as a Sims build or let’s play. Sims channels already mix them in: lilsimsie’s recent uploads include a Paralives mansion and an Animal Crossing spa.

How much does a Sims 4 YouTube editor cost?

My price is $55–$150 per finished video depending on complexity; up to $300 for some long or complex edits. By finished length: up to 10 minutes $55, up to 20 minutes $150, up to 35 minutes $300; longer videos get a custom quote. No contract and no minimum.
