Soulslike challenge run video editor for hire

I’m Kevin Tabares, a long-form YouTube editor. I edit long-form gaming for 1.26M–2.29M-subscriber channels (Mud, Puff, Rex & Alexa) and can edit yours: $55–$150 per finished video depending on complexity; up to $300 for some long or complex edits. My closest work is obby retries and multi-hour full movies; I haven’t edited Soulslike challenge run videos for a client yet, so start with a free 1-minute test.

Quick fit check: is this editor right for your channel?

Video types
Restriction runs (only one stat, one weapon, every debuff on), randomizers and randomizer races, no-hit and all-bosses runs, unfair challenge mods, “can a pro beat the worst Soulslike”, first looks at new Soulslikes
Editing style
What I would do for challenge runs: the rules on a card at the start, a death and attempt counter that never moves, the first death to each boss shown whole, the retries in a quick montage and the kill close to real time, with the build screen readable. Close to the obby retries I edit for Rex & Alexa and Swaylemc’s multi-hour movies
Video length
Challenge runs on big channels run long (Tuxyii’s recent uploads about 22 minutes to 1.5 hours, Skumnut’s and LilAggy’s about 1 to 3.5 hours, measured on Oct 18, 2026), so most get a custom quote. I also edit longer: Swaylemc’s full movies on my YT Jobs profile run 60 to 234 minutes.
Upload schedule
One video only, 1 video per week, 2–3 videos per week, 4 videos per month or several a week (Mud: about 3 a week). Start with one pilot: the free 1-minute test edit.
Format
Long-form YouTube videos are the core. YouTube Shorts cut from each long video on request.
What you send me
Gameplay and voice recording, ready to edit, or long recordings that need trimming and story building. Separate mic tracks help.
Estimated price
About $55 to $150 per finished video (up to $300 for some long or complex edits), depending on length, raw footage and effects. That fits the ‘$50+’ and ‘$100–$300 per video’ boxes for most long videos. Four videos a month: about $220 to $600 (more for long or complex videos); a $500 a month budget usually covers two to four long videos, depending on length. Exact quote within 24 hours, after a free 1-minute test edit.
Channel size
From under 1K subscribers (Mr. Marticson, 834) and small to mid-size channels (ThatNoob 4.9K, Crazz 10.7K, DakBlox 82.6K: 0 to 2M+ views in six months) up to 2M+ (Rex 2.29M, Puff 1.83M, Mud 1.26M)
Turnaround
First video in 1 to 5 days, then 1 to 2 days; revisions back within 24 hours
Track record
Proven YouTube results: 1,250 videos tracked on YT Jobs and 20 reviews from 19 client channels, 17 of them 10/10. Long-term work: Mud since March 2025, about 3 videos a week.

English or Spanish

My experience and Soulslike challenge run, plainly

What big Soulslike challenge channels upload in October 2026

Measured on October 18, 2026, from the 12 most recent videos of three challenge runners: Skumnut, Tuxyii and LilAggy. Almost all of them are Elden Ring, with Dark Souls, Bloodborne and new Soulslikes in between. Tuxyii’s run from 22 minutes to about an hour and a half, Skumnut’s from 1 hour 14 to 3 hours 34 and LilAggy’s from 1 hour to 3 hours 30. The formats that keep coming back:

How I would edit your Soulslike challenge runs

No Soulslike channel has sent me footage yet, so read this as my plan for your video. Each point comes from real work of mine: the obby retries I edit for Rex & Alexa, hardcore Minecraft for Puff and Swaylemc’s full movies of up to almost four hours.

The rules on screen before the first fight

A challenge run lives on its rule. I would put it on one card at the start (only Vigor, every debuff, no hits) and repeat it in a small line before each big boss, so a viewer who joins at the hour mark still knows what you are fighting against.

A death counter that never moves

Deaths, attempts on this boss and time played, in the same corner and style for the whole video. It is how I track attempts in obby and challenge videos, and in a challenge run it is half the story.

First death whole, retries compressed, the kill in real time

The first death to a boss is shown in full so viewers learn the fight. The next tries go into a quick montage with the counter running, and the attempt that wins plays close to real time with your reaction kept whole. This is the rule I follow in every retry video I edit.

Build and stat screens made readable

When you level up or change gear, the menu is the plot. I would freeze the screen, zoom on the stat or item that matters and add a short label, so viewers understand why the next fight will be easier or harder.

Randomizer surprises as reveals

In a randomizer the best moments are what the game gives you. I would build a short pause before each pickup or boss reveal and cut on your reaction to it, as if it were a reveal in a story.

Races split screen with one clock

For a race I would show both players side by side when they are close and switch to the one who is ahead when they split, with one shared timer so viewers always know the score.

Chapters for a two or three hour run

Long runs need structure: a YouTube chapter per boss or area, the loudness leveled across hours of footage and one style of titles. Long uploads are familiar ground: Swaylemc’s full movies run up to almost four hours.

Closest real examples of my gaming work

Five videos from my work for Rex & Alexa, HyperCookiie, Puff, goatt and Swaylemc, chosen because their format sits closest to a challenge run: retries with a counter, hardcore survival where one death ends it, challenge lists and a multi-hour full movie. Watch the first minute of the one closest to your format.

None of these is Soulslike challenge run. Views from the YouTube Data API on Oct 13, 2026; links open the video on YouTube.

FAQ

Have you edited Soulslike challenge run videos before?

No, I haven’t edited Soulslike challenge run videos for a client yet. My long-form gaming work is Roblox (Rex & Alexa, Mud), Minecraft (Puff, Swaylemc’s full movies), horror games and Madden tournaments, all listed on my YT Jobs profile. The free 1-minute test edit on your own Soulslike challenge run footage is how you judge my Soulslike challenge run edit before paying anything.

Can you edit my Soulslike challenge run videos?

Yes. Send one boss fight or one section of your run, with your voice on a separate track if you have it, and I edit one minute of it for free, so you can judge the cut before paying. I edit long-form videos from 10 minutes to several hours and cut Shorts from them if you want them.

Can you cut dozens of hours of attempts into one video?

Yes. Send the footage with notes or timestamps for the deaths and wins that matter. I would keep the story of each boss (first death, the fix, the kill) and compress the rest with the counter running.

Can you edit a randomizer race between two players?

Yes. Send both recordings. I would line them up by the start of the race and switch or split the screen with one shared timer.

Do you keep my commentary or recut it?

I keep your commentary and cut around it. If you record a voiceover afterwards to explain the run, I build the video on that and use the live reactions at the big moments.

How much does a Soulslike challenge run YouTube editor cost?

My price is $55–$150 per finished video depending on complexity; up to $300 for some long or complex edits. By finished length: up to 10 minutes $55, up to 20 minutes $150, up to 35 minutes $300; longer videos get a custom quote. No contract and no minimum.

Send me your Soulslike challenge run footage

Send me your channel link and one raw recording through the contact form. I’ll edit one minute of it for free and reply with an exact quote.
