I’m Kevin Tabares, a long-form YouTube editor: you send your raw footage, I cut it and add music, text and Shorts. My closest work is Scarlett Mae’s Japan vlog and Erin Marie’s lessons to camera; I haven’t edited gardening videos for a client yet, so start with a free 1-minute test. $55–$150 per finished video depending on complexity; up to $300 for some long or complex edits.
Free 1-minute test edit · From $55 per video · No contract · Revisions back within 24 h
9.8/10 average: 20 YT Jobs reviews from 19 client channels, 17 of them a perfect 10/10
Quick fit check: is this editor right for your channel?
- Video types
- Garden tours, planting and harvest videos, vegetable garden diaries, houseplant care, garden makeovers, seasonal to-do lists, homestead garden updates
- Editing style
- What I would do for gardening: the date on screen, the same bed filmed again weeks later cut side by side, plant names written as you give them to me, and a calm pace with natural sound
- Video length
- I edit from 8-minute videos to feature-length. Up to 20 minutes is the $150 package and up to 35 minutes the $300 one; longer videos get a custom quote. Scarlett Mae’s Japan vlog runs 17 minutes and Alli Ingram’s episodes 7 to 17; Swaylemc’s full movies on my YT Jobs profile run 60 to 234 minutes.
- Upload schedule
- One video only, 1 video per week, 2–3 videos per week, 4 videos per month or several a week (Mud: about 3 a week). Start with one pilot: the free 1-minute test edit.
- Format
- Long-form YouTube videos are the core. YouTube Shorts cut from each long video on request.
- What you send me
- All your clips and audio from the shoot; I build the story.
- Estimated price
- About $55 to $150 per finished video (up to $300 for some long or complex edits), depending on length, raw footage and effects. That fits the ‘$50+’ and ‘$100–$300 per video’ boxes for most long videos. Four videos a month: about $220 to $600 (more for long or complex videos); a $500 a month budget usually covers two to four long videos, depending on length. Exact quote within 24 hours, after a free 1-minute test edit.
- Channel size
- From under 1K subscribers (Mr. Marticson, 834) and small to mid-size channels (ThatNoob 4.9K, Crazz 10.7K, DakBlox 82.6K: 0 to 2M+ views in six months) up to 2M+ (Rex 2.29M, Puff 1.83M, Mud 1.26M)
- Turnaround
- First video in 1 to 5 days, then 1 to 2 days; revisions back within 24 hours
- Track record
- Proven YouTube results: 1,277 videos tracked on YT Jobs and 20 reviews from 19 client channels, 17 of them 10/10. Long-term work: Mud since March 2025, about 3 videos a week.

My experience with gardening videos, plainly
- Proven: My YT Jobs profile tracks 1,277+ videos and 152M+ views, with 20 client reviews averaging 9.8/10. My work with filmed footage: lessons to camera that I edit for English by Erin Marie, Scarlett Mae’s 24-hour challenge vlog filmed in Japan (297K subscribers), which I edited, and Alli Ingram’s First Kiss Summer series (743K), which I edited too.
- Not proven yet: Gardening videos for a client, and the plant advice itself: names, dates and tips on screen come from you.
- How to check it before paying: The free 1-minute test edit on your own footage, before you pay anything.
How I would edit your gardening videos
I haven’t edited a gardening channel yet, so this is my plan for your footage.
Weeks in a few seconds
The same bed filmed on different days, cut together with the date on screen, shows the growth that makes a garden video worth watching.
Plant names, written
When you name a plant or a variety, the name appears on screen spelled the way you give it to me.
A calm pace
Fewer effects, the natural sound of the garden under your voice, and cuts that remove waiting instead of speeding everything up.
A garden diary as a series
The same opening, the date and a short recap of what changed since the last episode.
Shorts from the harvest
A harvest, a before and after or one tip becomes a vertical Short with captions.
Closest real examples of my work
Three videos I edited from recorded footage: a challenge vlog, an episode of a scripted series and a lesson to camera. Watch the first minute of the one closest to your format.
These are not gardening videos, but they are the closest recorded work I’ve edited. Views from the YouTube Data API on Oct 13, 2026, or from my YT Jobs profile for the newest videos; links open the video on YouTube.

FAQ
Have you edited gardening videos before?
No, I haven’t edited gardening videos for a client yet. My closest work with recorded footage: Scarlett Mae’s 24-hour challenge vlog filmed in Japan and Alli Ingram’s First Kiss Summer series, both edited by me, and lessons to camera that I edit for English by Erin Marie, all on my YT Jobs profile. The free 1-minute test edit on your own footage is how you judge my cut before paying anything.
Can you edit my gardening videos?
Yes. Send the raw footage of one video (all the clips, plus the separate audio if you recorded it) and one video whose style you like, and I edit one minute for free. I cut Shorts from the long video too if you want them.
Can you edit a whole season into one video?
Yes. Send the clips with their dates, and I build one video from planting to harvest with the date on screen.
Do you use music or natural sound?
Either, as you prefer: the natural sound of the garden under your voice with music only where it helps, or music throughout if that is your style.
How much does a YouTube editor for gardening videos cost?
