Indie horror game YouTube video editor for hire
I’m Kevin Tabares, a long-form YouTube editor. I edit long-form gaming for 1.26M–2.29M-subscriber channels (Mud, Puff, Rex & Alexa) and can edit yours: $55–$150 per finished video depending on complexity; up to $300 for some long or complex edits. My closest work is horror for Puff, DakBlox and Swaylemc; I haven’t edited indie horror game videos for a client yet, so start with a free 1-minute test.
Free 1-minute test edit · From $55 per video · No contract · Revisions back within 24 h
9.8/10 average: 20 YT Jobs reviews from 19 client channels, 17 of them a perfect 10/10
Quick fit check: is this editor right for your channel?
- Video types
- Full playthroughs of a short indie horror game, all-endings videos, two or three demos in one video, multi-part playthroughs of a longer game, free horror games, horror games played with friends
- Editing style
- What I would do for indie horror: a cold open on the strongest scare, quiet kept before each jumpscare, the scare cut on the frame and your reaction kept whole, wandering trimmed, and the premise explained in one line at the start. The horror pacing I use for Puff’s mods and DakBlox’s Roblox horror games
- Video length
- Indie horror channels upload long: Hollow’s recent videos 6 minutes to 5 hours (median about an hour), CJUGames’ 40 minutes to 2 hours, ManlyBadassHero’s 14 minutes to 1 hour 12 (measured on Oct 18, 2026), so most land in the $300 package or get a custom quote. I also edit longer: Swaylemc’s full movies on my YT Jobs profile run 60 to 234 minutes.
- Upload schedule
- One video only, 1 video per week, 2–3 videos per week, 4 videos per month or several a week (Mud: about 3 a week). Start with one pilot: the free 1-minute test edit.
- Format
- Long-form YouTube videos are the core. YouTube Shorts cut from each long video on request.
- What you send me
- Gameplay and voice recording, ready to edit, or long recordings that need trimming and story building. Separate mic tracks help.
- Estimated price
- About $55 to $150 per finished video (up to $300 for some long or complex edits), depending on length, raw footage and effects. That fits the ‘$50+’ and ‘$100–$300 per video’ boxes for most long videos. Four videos a month: about $220 to $600 (more for long or complex videos); a $500 a month budget usually covers two to four long videos, depending on length. Exact quote within 24 hours, after a free 1-minute test edit.
- Channel size
- From under 1K subscribers (Mr. Marticson, 834) and small to mid-size channels (ThatNoob 4.9K, Crazz 10.7K, DakBlox 82.6K: 0 to 2M+ views in six months) up to 2M+ (Rex 2.29M, Puff 1.83M, Mud 1.26M)
- Turnaround
- First video in 1 to 5 days, then 1 to 2 days; revisions back within 24 hours
- Track record
- Proven YouTube results: 1,250 videos tracked on YT Jobs and 20 reviews from 19 client channels, 17 of them 10/10. Long-term work: Mud since March 2025, about 3 videos a week.
- Who you work with
- Kevin Tabares, directly. I review every video before it reaches you.
- Channel language
- English or Spanish
- Terms
- Paid in USD by PayPal or USDC. No contract, no minimum.
- Closest proof
- I haven’t edited indie horror game for a client yet. Closest long-form work: “Roblox Horror Games are ACTUALLY INSANE...” on DakBlox (82.6K subscribers), 16.5K views; “Playing a PARKOUR HORROR game on Roblox…” on DakBlox (82.6K subscribers), 51.9K views
My experience and indie horror game, plainly
- Proven: My YT Jobs profile tracks 1,250+ videos and 147M+ views, with 20 client reviews averaging 9.8/10. I edit for Mud (1.26M subscribers), Puff (1.83M) and Rex & Alexa (2.29M); for Mud since March 2025, about 3 videos a week.
- Not proven yet: PC indie horror games themselves: the look of each game (dark, grainy, VHS-style), hunting every ending, and long multi-part playthroughs of story games. My horror work so far is Minecraft horror mods and Roblox horror games.
- How to check it before paying: The free 1-minute test edit on your own indie horror game footage, before you pay anything.
Why me
- Horror pacing is a big part of my work: Puff’s Minecraft horror mods, DakBlox’s Roblox horror games and Rex & Alexa’s scary Roblox episodes.
- Long horror stories: Swaylemc’s Minecraft horror full movies run up to almost four hours.
What big indie horror channels upload in 2026
Measured on October 18, 2026, from the 12 most recent long videos of three channels that play indie horror games: Hollow, CJUGames and ManlyBadassHero. What keeps coming back:
- The premise as the title, instead of the game’s name: “A Horror Game Where You’re a Dog Trying to Save Your Family..”, “You Must Lie So Your Date Does Not Eat You In This Horror Game”.
- All endings in one video, for games with several outcomes.
- Demos and short games, sometimes two in one video, with “Indie Horror Game Demo” in the title.
- Longer games split into parts: CJUGames’ “SILVER PINES Part 1”.
- Free games: “This FREE Horror Game Has No Business Being This Good..”.
Hollow’s videos run 6 minutes to 5 hours, CJUGames’ 40 minutes to 2 hours, ManlyBadassHero’s 14 minutes to 1 hour 12.
How I would edit your indie horror game videos
No indie horror channel has sent me footage yet, so read this as my plan. Each point comes from horror I already edit: Puff’s Minecraft horror mods, DakBlox’s Roblox horror games and Swaylemc’s horror movies.
The premise in one line, then the first scare
Indie horror titles sell a premise, not a brand. I would open on a few seconds of the strongest scare, then let you explain the premise in one sentence, so a viewer who never heard of the game knows why to stay.
Silence before the scare
A jumpscare works because of the quiet before it. I would keep that quiet instead of cutting it, cut the scare on the exact frame, and keep your reaction whole, never trimmed to save a second. It is the rule I follow in Puff’s and DakBlox’s horror videos.
Wandering trimmed, tension kept
Short indie games have long walks, puzzles and backtracking. I would trim the walking to the moments where something changes, keep the slow walks that build tension, and add a small objective line when you come back to a game after a cut.
All endings without repeating the game
For all-endings videos I would show the shared part once, mark each branch with a simple title card (“Ending 2 of 4”), and jump straight to the choice that changes the ending, so the video does not replay the same 20 minutes.
Keep the game’s own look and sound
Indie horror games have their own look: grain, VHS, low light. I would keep it instead of brightening it, add only small readable captions, and mix your voice so it stays clear without killing the game’s sound design, which is half of the fear.
Chapters for long playthroughs
For videos over an hour, or a game in parts, I would add YouTube chapters at each area or ending and level the loudness so the loudest scare is not much louder than your commentary.
Closest real examples of my gaming work
Horror videos I edited, chosen because their format sits closest to an indie horror playthrough: Roblox horror games for DakBlox and Rex & Alexa, Minecraft horror mods for Puff and Moose, and a Swaylemc horror movie. Watch the first minute of the one closest to your format.
None of these is indie horror game. Views from the YouTube Data API on Oct 13, 2026; links open the video on YouTube.

FAQ
Have you edited indie horror game videos before?
No, I haven’t edited indie horror game videos for a client yet. I have edited Minecraft horror mods for Puff and Moose, Roblox horror games for DakBlox and Rex & Alexa, and Swaylemc’s Minecraft horror movies, all on my YT Jobs profile. To see my cut on your own horror playthrough before you pay, ask for the free 1-minute test edit.
Can you edit my indie horror game videos?
Yes. Send a few minutes of one recorded scene with your voice (a separate mic track helps) and I edit one minute of it for free, so you can judge the cut before paying. I edit long-form videos from 10 minutes to several hours, and cut Shorts from the scares if you want them.
Can you edit an all-endings video?
Yes. I would show the shared part once, mark each ending with a title card and jump to the choice that changes it, so the video does not repeat itself.
Is this different from your horror gaming page?
Yes. My horror gaming page covers horror in general; this page is about short indie horror games on PC, played start to end.
How much does a indie horror game YouTube editor cost?
My price is $55–$150 per finished video depending on complexity; up to $300 for some long or complex edits. By finished length: up to 10 minutes $55, up to 20 minutes $150, up to 35 minutes $300; longer videos get a custom quote. No contract and no minimum.
