Quick fit check: is this editor right for your channel?

Video types
Ranked climbs (the road to a VR number), Knockout Tour runs, challenges with one rule (no steering, no accelerating, every track harder), tournaments with friends or subscribers, world record and speedrun stories, game comparisons and update reactions, coaching episodes
Editing style
What I would do for Mario Kart: the position and the lap kept readable, the cut on every overtake and every item hit, the blue shell held for the reaction, a VR counter that carries across episodes, standings between races in a tournament. Close to Rex & Alexa’s races and SquadZilla’s Madden tournaments
Video length
Mario Kart videos on big channels run about 20 to 55 minutes: Shortcat’s 12 latest 8 to 55 (median about 33) and beanzard64’s up to an hour and 11 (median about 31), measured on Oct 18, 2026, with speedrun documentaries of almost 3 hours. Most land in the $300 package; shorter challenges in the $150 package. I also edit longer: Swaylemc’s full movies on my YT Jobs profile run 60 to 234 minutes.
Upload schedule
One video only, 1 video per week, 2–3 videos per week, 4 videos per month or several a week (Mud: about 3 a week). Start with one pilot: the free 1-minute test edit.
Format
Long-form YouTube videos are the core. YouTube Shorts cut from each long video on request.
What you send me
Gameplay and voice recording, ready to edit, or long recordings that need trimming and story building. Separate mic tracks help.
Estimated price
About $55 to $150 per finished video (up to $300 for some long or complex edits), depending on length, raw footage and effects. That fits the ‘$50+’ and ‘$100–$300 per video’ boxes for most long videos. Four videos a month: about $220 to $600 (more for long or complex videos); a $500 a month budget usually covers two to four long videos, depending on length. Exact quote within 24 hours, after a free 1-minute test edit.
Channel size
From under 1K subscribers (Mr. Marticson, 834) and small to mid-size channels (ThatNoob 4.9K, Crazz 10.7K, DakBlox 82.6K: 0 to 2M+ views in six months) up to 2M+ (Rex 2.29M, Puff 1.83M, Mud 1.26M)
Turnaround
First video in 1 to 5 days, then 1 to 2 days; revisions back within 24 hours
Track record
Proven YouTube results: 1,250 videos tracked on YT Jobs and 20 reviews from 19 client channels, 17 of them 10/10. Long-term work: Mud since March 2025, about 3 videos a week.

My experience and Mario Kart, plainly

What big Mario Kart channels upload in October 2026

Measured on October 18, 2026, from the 12 most recent long videos on Shortcat and beanzard64, plus a search for Mario Kart challenges the same day. Mario Kart World got new tracks in a September update, and the big channels follow it closely.

Many big gaming channels make one or two Mario Kart videos rather than a whole channel, which is why challenge and tournament formats matter as much as dedicated racing channels.

How I would edit your Mario Kart videos

No Mario Kart creator has sent me footage yet, so read this as my plan. It is built on the races I edit for Rex & Alexa, SquadZilla’s Madden tournaments and the ranked update news I cut for Mud’s Roblox Rivals News.

Position and lap, always readable

A race is told by two numbers: your place and the lap. I would keep them readable (a small enlarged card when the game HUD is too small on a phone), cut to every overtake, and let the final lap play close to real time.

Item hits on the frame, reactions in full

The blue shell, the lightning, the last-second hit: I would cut on the frame it lands, add a sound on it, and hold your reaction after it in full. The game music goes down under your voice so the shouting stays clear.

A VR counter for ranked series

For a road-to-a-number series, a small VR counter, always in the same corner and the same style, would rise and fall race by race and carry over from episode to episode, with the target number on screen from the first seconds.

Standings between races

In a tournament with friends or subscribers, a standings board designed once and reused after each race keeps viewers following who is winning, the round-by-round structure I kept readable in SquadZilla’s Madden tournaments.

Challenges with an attempt counter

For a no-steering or no-accelerating run, the rule goes on screen in the first 30 seconds, the first failed attempt plays in full, the retries are compressed behind a counter and the attempt that works plays almost in real time.

Records and speedruns, side by side

For a world record or a speedrun story, a split timer and your run next to the ghost or the old record, with your narration over it, make a small time difference visible.

Closest real examples of my gaming work

Videos I edited, chosen because their format is closest to a Mario Kart video: Rex & Alexa’s races, SquadZilla’s Madden tournaments and a ranked update episode for Mud. Watch the first minute of the one closest to your format.

None of these is Mario Kart. Views from the YouTube Data API on Oct 13, 2026; links open the video on YouTube.

FAQ

Have you edited Mario Kart videos before?

No, I haven’t edited Mario Kart videos for a client yet. My long-form gaming work is Roblox (Rex & Alexa, Mud), Minecraft (Puff, Swaylemc’s full movies), horror games and Madden tournaments, all listed on my YT Jobs profile. The free 1-minute test edit on your own Mario Kart footage is how you judge my Mario Kart edit before paying anything.

Can you edit my Mario Kart videos?

Yes. Send the raw recording of a few races, with your voice on its own track if you can, and I edit one minute of it for free, so you can judge the cut before paying. I edit long-form videos, from 10 minutes to full movies of several hours, and cut Shorts from them if you want them.

Can you add a facecam to my races?

Yes. Send the facecam as its own file and I place it so it never covers the position, the lap or the minimap, and bring it bigger for the big reactions.

Can you edit a tournament with many players?

Yes. I would add a standings board after each race and cut to whoever matters in each race. If several players recorded, each recording helps me show the key moment from the right angle.

Do you edit other Nintendo games?

Yes, the same way, as capacity: I haven’t edited Nintendo games for a client yet. The free 1-minute test works the same for Smash Bros, Mario Party or any Switch game.

How much does a Mario Kart YouTube editor cost?

My price is $55–$150 per finished video depending on complexity; up to $300 for some long or complex edits. By finished length: up to 10 minutes $55, up to 20 minutes $150, up to 35 minutes $300; longer videos get a custom quote. No contract and no minimum.

Send me your Mario Kart footage

Send me your channel link and one raw recording through the contact form. I’ll edit one minute of it for free and reply with an exact quote.
