Super Smash Bros YouTube video editor for hire
I’m Kevin Tabares, a long-form YouTube editor. I edit gaming for 1.26M–2.29M-subscriber channels (Mud, Puff, Rex & Alexa), including 1v1s and tournaments in other games. I haven’t edited Super Smash Bros videos for a client yet, so start with a free 1-minute test on one of your sets. $55–$150 per finished video depending on complexity; up to $300 for some long or complex edits.
Free 1-minute test edit · From $55 per video · No contract · Revisions back within 24 h
9.8/10 average: 20 YT Jobs reviews from 19 client channels, 17 of them a perfect 10/10
Quick fit check: is this editor right for your channel?
- Video types
- Creator tournaments (with subscribers, low tiers, odd controllers), who-can tests with every character, modded Smash and custom characters, beginner-to-Elite Smash challenges, 1v1s against rivals or haters, character practice before a tournament, Smash Ultimate on Switch 2
- Editing style
- What I would do for Smash: the roster grid filling up in who-can tests, a stock and game score on screen in every set, the KO cut on the frame with a beat of freeze, the final stock at real speed, every mod and modder named. Close to goatt’s and Mud’s 1v1s and SquadZilla’s every-QB tournament
- Video length
- Smash videos run shorter than most gaming long-form: Poppt1’s 12 latest run 14 to 49 minutes (median about 22), Beefy Smash Doods’ and Prowder’s about 12 minutes (measured on Oct 18, 2026). Most land in the $55 or $150 package; long tournaments in the $300 package. I also edit longer: Swaylemc’s full movies on my YT Jobs profile run 60 to 234 minutes.
- Upload schedule
- One video only, 1 video per week, 2–3 videos per week, 4 videos per month or several a week (Mud: about 3 a week). Start with one pilot: the free 1-minute test edit.
- Format
- Long-form YouTube videos are the core. YouTube Shorts cut from each long video on request.
- What you send me
- Gameplay and voice recording, ready to edit, or long recordings that need trimming and story building. Separate mic tracks help.
- Estimated price
- About $55 to $150 per finished video (up to $300 for some long or complex edits), depending on length, raw footage and effects. That fits the ‘$50+’ and ‘$100–$300 per video’ boxes for most long videos. Four videos a month: about $220 to $600 (more for long or complex videos); a $500 a month budget usually covers two to four long videos, depending on length. Exact quote within 24 hours, after a free 1-minute test edit.
- Channel size
- From under 1K subscribers (Mr. Marticson, 834) and small to mid-size channels (ThatNoob 4.9K, Crazz 10.7K, DakBlox 82.6K: 0 to 2M+ views in six months) up to 2M+ (Rex 2.29M, Puff 1.83M, Mud 1.26M)
- Turnaround
- First video in 1 to 5 days, then 1 to 2 days; revisions back within 24 hours
- Track record
- Proven YouTube results: 1,250 videos tracked on YT Jobs and 20 reviews from 19 client channels, 17 of them 10/10. Long-term work: Mud since March 2025, about 3 videos a week.
- Who you work with
- Kevin Tabares, directly. I review every video before it reaches you.
- Channel language
- English or Spanish
- Terms
- Paid in USD by PayPal or USDC. No contract, no minimum.
- Closest proof
- I haven’t edited Super Smash Bros for a client yet. Closest long-form work: “99 Yard Tournament with EVERY NFL QB!” on SquadZilla (247K subscribers), 57.9K views; “1v1 my friend in Roblox Rivals! "loser eats a spoon of hot sauce!"” on goatt (11.6K subscribers), 1.1K views
My experience and Super Smash Bros, plainly
- Proven: My YT Jobs profile tracks 1,250+ videos and 147M+ views, with 20 client reviews averaging 9.8/10. I edit for Mud (1.26M subscribers), Puff (1.83M) and Rex & Alexa (2.29M); for Mud since March 2025, about 3 videos a week.
- Not proven yet: Smash knowledge: reading a combo or an edge-guard as it happens, knowing which character matchup or tech is impressive, and the tournament scene. I would rely on your notes for the moments players will care about.
- How to check it before paying: The free 1-minute test edit on your own Super Smash Bros footage, before you pay anything.
What big Smash Bros channels upload in October 2026
Measured on October 18, 2026, from the 12 most recent long videos on three channels: Poppt1, Beefy Smash Doods and Prowder. Each owns one format.
- Tournaments with a twist: Poppt1’s “I Held a Smash Tournament as Nintendo Intended”, “I Entered a Tournament with my Least Played Characters” and “I 1v1’d my biggest hater in Smash”, 14 to 49 minutes.
- Mods: Beefy Smash Doods shows characters and modes made by modders (“Someone turned Smash into a Sonic Game!”, “They turned Melee into a Tag Fighter.”), around 12 minutes.
- Who can: every Prowder title is a test run with the whole roster (“Who Can Do The Portal Lava Tunnel ?”), 6 to 15 minutes.
Search the same day added beginner-to-Elite Smash challenges, a creator practising one character for a week before a tournament, and grand finals uploaded by tournament channels.
How I would edit your Super Smash Bros videos
No Smash creator has sent me footage yet, so read this as my plan. It is built on goatt’s and Mud’s 1v1s, SquadZilla’s tournaments where every player at one position is tested, and the worst-to-best ranking I cut for BaconsOwnTheUniverse.
The roster grid in who-can tests
In a test with every character, a roster grid that fills in as each one passes or fails would show the progress. The failures fold into a fast sequence, and the characters that surprise you get their attempt in full, like the every-QB structure of SquadZilla’s Madden tournaments.
Stocks and score, always on screen
In a set, viewers need the stock count and the game score. A small score card, the same in every video, sits between games, and the cut moves straight from one game to the next with no menus.
The KO on the frame
I would cut on the frame of the launch, add a beat of freeze or zoom on the hit that matters with a sound on it, and hold your reaction after it. The last stock of a close set plays at real speed.
Mods and modders named
For modded Smash, the mod name and its creator go on a small lower third the first time it appears, matching the links in your description, so viewers can find it and the modder gets the credit.
Brackets for creator tournaments
For a tournament with subscribers or friends, a bracket designed once and updated after each set keeps a long video easy to follow, with the stakes of each round said in one line before it.
Your voice above the hits
Smash audio is loud: hits, announcer, crowd. I would keep the hit sounds and lower the music and announcer under your commentary, so the trash talk and the explanation stay clear.
Closest real examples of my gaming work
Videos I edited, chosen because their format is closest to a Smash video: SquadZilla’s every-player tournaments, 1v1s for goatt and Mud, and a ranked list for BaconsOwnTheUniverse. Watch the first minute of the one closest to your format.

FAQ
Have you edited Super Smash Bros videos before?
No, I haven’t edited Super Smash Bros videos for a client yet. My long-form gaming work is Roblox (Rex & Alexa, Mud), Minecraft (Puff, Swaylemc’s full movies), horror games and Madden tournaments, all listed on my YT Jobs profile. The free 1-minute test edit on your own Super Smash Bros footage is how you judge my Super Smash Bros edit before paying anything.
Can you edit my Super Smash Bros videos?
Yes. Send the raw recording of a few games or one set, with your voice on its own track if you can, and I edit one minute of it for free, so you can judge the cut before paying. I edit long-form videos, from 10 minutes to full movies of several hours, and cut Shorts from them if you want them.
Can you edit a full creator tournament?
Yes. I would add a bracket that updates after each set, cut straight from game to game and keep the closest moments at real speed. Up to 20 finished minutes is the $150 package.
Can you cut Shorts from my Smash videos?
Yes. A clean KO or a funny fail from the long video, reframed for vertical. Long-form is my main work, so the Shorts come from the video I edit.
Do you edit other fighting or Nintendo games?
Yes, as capacity too: I haven’t edited them for a client yet. The free 1-minute test works the same for Melee, Rivals of Aether or any Switch game.
How much does a Super Smash Bros YouTube editor cost?
My price is $55–$150 per finished video depending on complexity; up to $300 for some long or complex edits. By finished length: up to 10 minutes $55, up to 20 minutes $150, up to 35 minutes $300; longer videos get a custom quote. No contract and no minimum.
