Video types
Can-you-beat-Subnautica-if challenges, randomizer and no-terrain runs, Subnautica 2 Let’s Plays by parts, leviathan and horror mod videos, update previews and leaks, full playthrough movies
Editing style
What I would do for Subnautica: the depth on screen as the challenge counter, the sound under the water carrying the fear, the first look at a leviathan held back and then timed, the base-building folded into montage, update news told change first. Close to Puff’s deep-ocean and Iron Lung survival videos
Video length
Subnautica videos run 10 minutes to over an hour: The Last Bacon’s 12 latest have a median of about 17 minutes, Viscerface’s about 28 and Anthomnia’s about 25, with playthrough movies up to about 3 hours (measured on Oct 18, 2026). Most land in the $150 or $300 package; movies get a custom quote. I also edit longer: Swaylemc’s full movies on my YT Jobs profile run 60 to 234 minutes.
Upload schedule
One video only, 1 video per week, 2–3 videos per week, 4 videos per month or several a week (Mud: about 3 a week). Start with one pilot: the free 1-minute test edit.
Format
Long-form YouTube videos are the core. YouTube Shorts cut from each long video on request.
What you send me
Gameplay and voice recording, ready to edit, or long recordings that need trimming and story building. Separate mic tracks help.
Estimated price
About $55 to $150 per finished video (up to $300 for some long or complex edits), depending on length, raw footage and effects. That fits the ‘$50+’ and ‘$100–$300 per video’ boxes for most long videos. Four videos a month: about $220 to $600 (more for long or complex videos); a $500 a month budget usually covers two to four long videos, depending on length. Exact quote within 24 hours, after a free 1-minute test edit.
Channel size
From under 1K subscribers (Mr. Marticson, 834) and small to mid-size channels (ThatNoob 4.9K, Crazz 10.7K, DakBlox 82.6K: 0 to 2M+ views in six months) up to 2M+ (Rex 2.29M, Puff 1.83M, Mud 1.26M)
Turnaround

My experience and Subnautica, plainly

What big Subnautica channels upload in October 2026

Measured on October 18, 2026, from the 12 most recent long videos on three channels: The Last Bacon, Viscerface and Anthomnia. Subnautica 2 has just announced its next early access update, and the channels split into three formats.

Under all three sits the same feeling the game sells: fear of deep water, and what might be swimming under you.

How I would edit your Subnautica videos

No Subnautica creator has sent me footage yet, so read this as my plan. It is built on Puff’s deep-ocean and Iron Lung survival videos, the horror timing I use for his mods and the update news I cut for Mud’s Roblox Rivals News.

The depth is the counter

In a dive challenge the number that matters is the depth. I would keep the depth (or the oxygen, or the days) in a small fixed card, the same in every episode, so viewers feel how deep you are without reading the game HUD, and the deepest point lands as the climax.

Sound under the water carries the fear

Thalassophobia is mostly sound: the low hum, a distant roar, the silence before a leviathan. I would keep the game’s underwater sound up, take the music out in the seconds before a reveal, and level the roar so it scares without clipping.

Hold back the leviathan

The first look at a leviathan is the moment the title promises. I would tease it in the first 30 seconds, then let the real encounter build: a shape in the dark, your reaction, then the full creature, cut on the frame it appears. The scream after it is never trimmed.

Base building and scanning in montage

Gathering, scanning and crafting fold into a quick montage with your commentary on top. The new vehicle or the new base gets a short reveal, so progress feels earned without minutes of menus.

Update news: the change first

For a Subnautica 2 update or leak, the new creature, biome or vehicle goes on screen first, with a zoom on the detail you point at, then why it matters, then gameplay: the order I use for every episode of Mud’s Roblox Rivals News.

Let’s Plays and movies with chapters

For a series by parts, the same intro, titles and a short recap at the start of each part; for a full playthrough of hours, YouTube chapters by biome and act, the way Swaylemc’s full movies stay easy to follow.

Closest real examples of my gaming work

Long-form videos I edited, chosen because their format is closest to a Subnautica video: Puff’s deep-ocean and Iron Lung survival, an update news episode for Mud and a full movie for Swaylemc. Watch the first minute of the one closest to your format.

None of these is Subnautica. Views from the YouTube Data API on Oct 13, 2026; links open the video on YouTube.

FAQ

Have you edited Subnautica videos before?

No, I haven’t edited Subnautica videos for a client yet. My long-form gaming work is Roblox (Rex & Alexa, Mud), Minecraft (Puff, Swaylemc’s full movies), horror games and Madden tournaments, all listed on my YT Jobs profile. The free 1-minute test edit on your own Subnautica footage is how you judge my Subnautica edit before paying anything.

Can you edit my Subnautica videos?

Yes. Send the raw recording of one session, with your voice on its own track if you can, and I edit one minute of it for free, so you can judge the cut before paying. I edit long-form videos, from 10 minutes to full movies of several hours, and cut Shorts from them if you want them.

Can you make a Subnautica horror video actually scary?

Yes, with timing and sound: silence before the reveal, the creature cut on the frame it appears, your reaction held in full. It is the same horror timing I use every week in Puff’s Minecraft horror mods.

Can you edit a Subnautica 2 Let’s Play series?

Yes. I would keep the same intro and titles from part to part and open each one with a short recap. Parts up to 20 minutes are the $150 package, up to 35 minutes the $300 package.

Can you turn leaked screenshots into a news video?

Yes. Send the images, your voiceover and the gameplay you want under it. I zoom on the details you point at and keep the source on screen when you credit one.

How much does a Subnautica YouTube editor cost?

My price is $55–$150 per finished video depending on complexity; up to $300 for some long or complex edits. By finished length: up to 10 minutes $55, up to 20 minutes $150, up to 35 minutes $300; longer videos get a custom quote. No contract and no minimum.
